The Mafia series are back!

Day 4

The guilty murderer walked along the beach, sand in between his toes and the cool wind blowing in his hair. He was too deep in his thoughts that he didn't know that someone was creeping up behind him. Without warning, a hand clasped over his mouth and eyes. He tried to call for help, without any success.
"Shut up!" said a hoarse voice in his ear.
The male murderer felt himself being lifted up into the air. All that could be heard were the soft thumps of his captor's feet hitting the sand and the waves washing up onto the shore. After a minute he hit the floor.
"What the --" he said and scrambled to his feet.
"Keep your voice down and listen to me!"
The murderer turned around to come face to face with another survivor.
"What do you want from me?" the male murderer demanded.
"I know that you've been killing survivors off one by one." the female murderer replied, ignoring his question. "Which is why I've taken you to this cave, away from the others, to make you an offer."
There was a pause.
"I've been killing people too," the female murderer continued. "Mainly because of the people who are 'in charge'."
"Go on," the male murderer nodded.
"We can work together to kill everyone, and once everyone is dead we can rule this island ourselves."
"Not a bad plan, I'll admit," the male murderer replied. "There'll be enough resources for both of us to survive. It's a deal."
The murderers shook hands.
"Couldn't sleep as well?" a voice from the entrance of the cave.
The murderers turned to find Ally walking towards them.
"Mind if I join you for a bit?"
The murderers glanced at each other.
"Sure," one of them replied, smiling. "Although we'll warn you, you may not make it back to the camp."
Before Ally could reply, the murderers attacked her, kicking and punching her. She screamed and fell to the floor, the pain not tolerable. One of the murderers kicked her in the head, and Ally fell still.
"C'mon," the female murderer grabbed her partner's hand and ran out of the cave. "Quickly before anyone comes to investigate."
The pair ran away from the crime scene.
One of the survivors, who wasn't a deep sleeper, heard Ally's screams from camp. He woke up just in time to see two figures running off in the distance. Curious and afraid, the survivor ran after them and found Ally's body lying at the entrance of the cave. Luckily for Ally, the survivor that found her was a doctor. Making do with the available resources, the doctor patched her up with some vines from a nearby drink and coaxed some water into her. Ally's eyes flitted open to see the doctor leaning over her.
"Thank you," she said weakly.
"No problem," he replied. "Do you know who beat you up?"
Ally shook her head.
"It was so dark, and I could barely remember what happened," she replied.
The doctor sighed.
"Let's get you back to camp."
Ally leaned on his shoulder and the two of them made their way back to camp.
"There was an incident that occurred late last night," Flowly announced to the crowd of survivors. "Ally was attacked by two people from this camp and was found by one of our doctors. If anyone has an idea on who the attackers are, please report to me and Wolfy, and we'll deal with them immediately."
The murderers, who both stood at the back of the crowd, raised their eyebrows at each other. So Ally survived after all.
"You are all dismissed," Wolfy said, and the crowd dispersed.
The murderers ran into the forest.
"We'll need something more deadly to kill them without anyone surviving," the male murderer told his partner.
"What about a sharp rock?" his partner suggested as they walked on through the forest.
"Even that may not work," he shook his head.
The female murderer tripped and fell onto the damp ground.
"What the hell?!" she cursed and looked behind her.
Her attitude changed and she grinned.
"Look what I found," she said, picking up the knives she tripped over.
"What're they doing in here in the forest?" the male murderer asked as he took a knife.
"Who knows, but it's our lucky day!" the other cackled.
Both of them fell silent when they heard voices in the distance.
"Hide!" one of them ordered the other, and without hesitation, they both hid behind a large bush.
As the voices grew closer, the murderers tightened their grasp on their knives and waited for the right time to strike. Just as two people from their camp walked past, both of them leapt out from their hiding spot and stabbed them three to four times in the chest. Their victims fell to the floor, and the murderers turned them onto their backs to identify them.
"Cinder and Lovinq, I think," the female murderer stated. "They were both in my group."
The male murderer nodded.
"I think we've done enough damage today," he said. "Let's take a break."
The murderers walked on further into the forest.
