Hannah was walking down the hallway, making her way to the casino where her friends were. She was rather anxious about walking alone, but she told herself to suck it up and be brave.
"Hannah?" someone called from behind her.
Hannah turned around to face Legend.
"Oh, hey Legend," Hannah greeted him as he caught up with her.
"Hey," he replied, a bit breathless. "Where are you going?"
"To the casino, my friends are waiting for me there."
"Oh cool! I'm going there as well,"
Hannah couldn't help but feel suspicious at Legend's friendly behaviour. She has to be careful. The two of them came to the lift and Legend pressed the button. The lift arrived immediately, and the two of them rode it to the ground floor.
"So," Hannah started, feeling the awkwardness between them. "Who'd you think has been killing off people?"
Legend paused.
"To be honest, I have no clue, although I'm surprised that one of the victim's sibling didn't cry when they took his body away,"
Before Hannah could reply the doors opened. There were two people standing in front of them, wearing masks.
"What the--" Hannah cried as one of them grabbed her by the waist, pinning her arms to the sides.
She looked over her captor's shoulder and saw the other murderer grab a knife and stab Legend in the stomach. Legend collapsed, blood streaming out of his wound.
"No!" Hannah cried out as she was carried out of the elevator.
Her captor turned to his partner.
"Get rid of the body," he replied.
Hannah immediately recognised his voice. She opened her mouth to scream but a hand clamped over her mouth. Her captor pulled out his knife.
"Any last words?" he asked menacingly.
Hannah looked up at him.
"How could you," she said. "I trusted you, Alfa,"
Alfa took off his mask, exposing the malevolent glint in his eyes and a wide smile.
"I'm sorry," he said and brought his knife down.
Something prevented him from killing Hannah. There was a crash and shards of green glass flew everywhere. Hannah held her arms against her face, and when the last shards of glass clattered onto the ground, she looked up at her saviour. Iuc was standing in front of her, holding a broken bottle.
"Iuc!" Hannah cried and hugged her friend.
"I thought he was suspicious," Iuc said as she hugged her back.
Iuc smiled.
"No more murders for the remainder of the holiday!" she cheered, grabbing her phone from her pocket and dialling the police station's number.
