"You will all die anyway," Alfa read from the piece of paper that Iuc had given him. "Well, that's not very nice."
"You don't say," Loving replied. "Let's hope we can all live to see tomorrow."
Hannah sighed in the background.
"You okay, Hannah?" Alfa said.
"I've just had a thought," Hannah replied, turning to him. "The police arrested the bartender after they took Nash away, but I'm 100% sure the bartender is innocent."
"What makes you say that?" Loving asked.
Hannah shrugged.
"Some feeling in my gut," she replied. "That's all."
The three of them looked at each other.
"At least we're still together," Alfa broke the silence and placed a hand on Loving and Hannah.
The others murmured. Alfa jerked up.
"Where's Iuc?" he asked. "I didn't even notice she wasn't with us!"
They all stood up.
"I'm checking the bar first," Alfa told the others before dashing out of their room.
Downstairs in the casino, Iuc had decided to let her friends return to their room without her. She wanted to chill in peace. After her fifth drink of Mountain Dew, Iuc felt rather uncomfortable and left the bar to find a toilet. The toilets were located at the back of the bar, where it was quiet as a mouse; not even the casino's chatter could be heard. Iuc slammed the toilet door behind her. After a while, she emerged from it, humming under her breath. She didn't notice a figure standing in front of her with a knife. At the last moment, Iuc saw the knife and knew what to do; the murderer slashed at her shoulder and she fell to the floor, pretending to be dead. She felt a nudge against her leg and heard a rustle above her. There was a crack.
"Hey, I've killed our target," she heard a deep voice say.
There was another crack.
"Good," another voice replied. "See you soon,"
Iuc heard the murderer's footsteps descend in the hallway, and after a few minutes, she decided to stand up. Standing up turned out to be a difficult task. The world swayed before her, and even the smallest glance at the blood-stained carpet made her nauseous. Iuc knew she needed to return to her room before she lost more blood, so she grabbed a handful of toilet paper, pressed it against her wound, and staggered all the way to the elevator.
The two murderers met up at the indoor pool, which was located at the highest level.
"I killed Iuc," one of them said to the other.
"So I've heard," the other replied.
The taller murderer grinned.
"I bet we can kill one more," he said, making his way to the elevator. "Follow me,"
After ten minutes, the murderers found themselves crouching behind a large vase, waiting for their next victim to walk by.
"Lemme handle this one, okay?" the taller one told his partner.
The other shrugged.
"I've already done my part today,"
The other murderer was about to reply when two people came around the corner. As their victims approached, the taller murderer grabbed his knife and aimed it at the victim's heart. Counting to three, he threw the knife with such force that it passed right through both of the victim's chest and struck a painting. The victims fell onto their knees and flopped onto their side. The murderers leapt out of their hiding spot and rummaged through their victims for an ID.
"Found his credit card." one of the murderers said. "His name is Tang,"
The same murderer checked the other victim's card.
"Xarious."
The other murderer shrugged.
"That'll do," he said. "Help me drag the bodies out of the window."
The murderers opened a nearby window and carried the bodies. They tossed them out of the window and closed it.
"Wait until they all find out," one murderer chuckled to the other before they both disappeared from the hallway.
Hannah saw a crowd of people gathered outside. She knew that someone had been murdered, but she didn't know who. She pushed her way through the crowd to find Tang and Xarious, their shirts stained red and their limbs bent at odd angles.
"Stabbed and thrown out of the window, I reckon," a police officer said to his partner.
"Better call an ambulance then," his partner replied.
Hannah was now panicking. Where is Iuc?
"Hannah!" someone called behind her.
Hannah turned to find Iuc, staggering towards her with a bloody shoulder.
"Iuc!" Hannah exclaimed. "What happened to you?"
"The murderer attacked me and left me for dead," Iuc replied.
"Well, at least you aren't!" Hannah laughed and hugged her.
Iuc hugged her back. Her eyes rested on Tang and Xarious.
"Oh," Iuc gasped.
"That could've been you too," Hannah stated, watching paramedics carry Tang's body away first.
Iuc sighed.
"C'mon," she grabbed Hannah's hand. "I'm thirsty again."
The two spent their remainder of the day drinking at the bar.
