Day 5
The three murderers met up at an empty alleyway.
"We have to kill more people. We're running out of time; the trip ends in a few days," one of the murderers scowled.
"Calm down," another said. "Just kill a few people each. After all, there's three of us now."
The traitor from the day before grinned. "It'll be easy. I used to hunt animals with my dad. I know how to kill."
"That'll be useful," the boy agreed.
"Blah blah blah. We have to do something about the guy that survived. What was his name, Wolfy?" the girl asked.
"I'll finish off my work. Now is it agreed each of us will start killing more people?" the boy asked.
They all nodded, in agreement.
Wolfy had recovered, now walking back to the hotel with his friend, Pine. The day before had been stormy, not a bit of blue sky had shown through the dark clouds. But today, there wasn't a single cloud in sight.
"I'm enjoying this sunshine," Wolfy said, holding his arms out.
"Same, I love fresh air," Pine replied.
They continued talking, and before long, they were a few steps away from the hotel entrance. Wolfy stepped forward, gripping the handle. All of a sudden, he heard a voice behind him and Pine.
"Not so fast."
Wolfy turned around just in time to see a guy stabbing Pine with a sharp knife. Time seemed to slow down as her body fell with a thud. The guy grinned, then turned for Wolfy.
"Allow me to finish my work," the figure said.
After a moment, two lifeless bodies laid on the ground. The murderer ran away, his identity hidden by the dark cloak.
Across the city, the other murderer prowled about, looking for her victims. She was leaning on the wall of a donut shop, the 'open' sign hanging on a nail. She had stood there for a few minutes, and before long, the busy streets of Paris revealed a group of three people.
"Hey, let's get donuts!" a voice echoed from the distance.
The murderer narrowed her eyes. I can take on three people. The others will be impressed, she thought.
She sat up, then circled around until she was out of their line of sight. Setting her feet down lightly, she hurried behind the group. The closest victim was a girl, who had stopped to tie her shoelaces.
Smiling wickedly, she stabbed the knife into the girl's back. Before the girl could scream, the murderer had already stabbed her multiple times. She watched as the breathing stopped.
She looked up to see the remaining two, staring at her in shock. They had turned to check on their friend.
"Pufflin!" one of them screamed.
The murderer started running after them. The two boys remained rooted to their spot.
Idiots. They'll be easy targets.
But the murderer had underestimated them. One of the guys fought back, somehow avoiding the knife.
The murderer gritted her teeth, aiming recklessly. The other guy stood still, unsure of what to do.
"Call the cops!" the first boy shrieked.
He took out a phone, fumbling clumsily.
At last, the boy had managed to pin down the murderer and knocked away her weapon. He narrowed his eyes, then pulled down the hood off of her head. His eyes stretched wide as he recognized her. "Neko! Wh- what? Why?"
Neko was trembling in fury. "You should've died Nash!"
In the far distance, the sound of sirens reached her ears. She tried with all of her strength to throw Nash off, but he was too heavy. She finally gave up, still seething with anger.
The cops came, pulling her arms back and handcuffed her. She was pushed into the car, then it drove away.
Nash was left with his friend.
"Well, we got rid of the murderer finally!"
"You are aware that there are more murderers?" A voice behind them asked.
Before either of them could turn, the traitor stabbed them.
She cleaned off the blood before turning and leaving the bodies.
After a while, she went back to the alleyway, and spotted the other.
"Where's Neko?" he asked.
The girl sighed. "I saw her being pulled into a police car. But after the it left, I killed the people she was going after, Nash and Vertx."
"That's two people, I killed two also. I'm not sure how many Neko killed." the boy said.
"Tomorrow, there will be more," the girl promised.
