Nitro was sat at home waiting for his friend Neko to bring back his vintage Gameboy, he went into the kitchen to get some water and when he came back the news was on.
The news reporter was talking about a string of murders that had been happening all over the United Kingdom. The police were unsure if it was the same person doing them all since the murder weapon was always different. Nitro shuddered and turned off the telly.
2 blocks away Neko was in her car listening to the same thing Nitro had heard just a few moments earlier, she was shocked that someone or multiple people could do something like that, she also turned it off.
Neko pulled into Nitro’s street, found somewhere to park and turned the engine off; she walked to his front door and knocked. No answer. She knocked again but louder this time, still no answer, now she was getting worried, Neko tried the door and to her surprise it opened. Cautiously she stepped into Nitro’s home. “Nitro?” she cried. No reply. Neko ran into the living room and found Nitro lying on the ground with a large, deep gash across his neck. She looked around in horror, who did this? She thought. Just as she was about to go into the hall and call an ambulance a sharp pain shot through her body, Neko collapsed to the floor in agony. She could hear someone running off in the distance, but couldn’t see them. All she wanted to do was close her eyes but she knew she needed to try and save Nitro, using every last ounce of energy she had Neko dragged herself to the phone, blood pouring out of the stab wound that had appeared just below her ribcage. She reached for the phone and shakily typed in the numbers “999”, she called for an ambulance and then collapsed onto the floor.
10 minutes later the paramedics arrived and took Nitro and Neko to hospital, Neko recovered from her injury and was sent home after 3 weeks, Nitro however died in hospital 2 hours later due to blood loss.
