Hammerlock was never known for being such a violent little town. However with all these trials going down for such violent crimes, people have stopped coming into Hammerlock. Speaking of trials, the people were holding another one today. Ham had both good friends and strangers connect him to the murders of the several souls gone so far. It was no surprise when he was found guilty and hung.
Shortly after the execution that day, people went about their normal business. Everyone cautiously watched their backs and scooted away if they felt someone was too close. The trust within the community was gone.
Around noon, several people decided to have a lunch break. They started heading over to a local tavern when they heard a scream which quickly got muffled. They glanced at each other and ran towards the sound.
Their blood ran cold when they saw Adam laying in a large pool of his own blood. As someone went to call the doctor, another scream was heard a few streets away. The people took off running again, and were met with another traumatic image. Laying in a pool of blood was Darwin, just like how Adam was. Both having been stabbed well over 10 times.
The people of Hammerlock didn’t finish their work that day, nor did they even utter a word to anyone. Everyone just went home and locked their doors, terrified of each of their neighbors. Each person wondered, when will they catch the people doing this?
