For the possible additional roles how about making a "snitch" who's job is to create confusion and try to get people to change their votes...... Or maybe someone who is automatically "safe" for the first five rounds.... I dunno

The safe one would be a little op I think
The snitch is basically a traitor from how you described it, but maybe I’ll add another traitor
