Trick-or-treaters started to go on their annual scavenge for as much candy as possible in the neighborhood. Zombies, vampires, witches, and many other creepy-crawly costumed people roamed the streets. The sun was setting, creating an orange sky and red sky.
A small boy dressed up as a doctor ran around collecting candy and pretended to take everyone's temperatures or listen to their heartbeat with a fake stethoscope. He charmed the hearts of the older people and made all the little ones laugh. The boy had so much fun running around, he didn't realize that he had run to an empty area. No one was roaming the streets, and only the street lights lit the roads. The boy looked around, and something hit his back. He turned around and found a crumpled-up party invitation with an address on it. The boy realized that he was right in front of the house with the correct address.
The lights were off in the house, but the little boy thought of all of the Halloween parties in the years before and knew that many of the parties started with the lights off. He joyfully skipped up to the door and tried to open it. However, the door was locked, and so he rang the doorbell. the door slammed open, and a hand grabbed the boy's head, and another grabbing his shoulder. Before the boy could react, the arm grabbing the boy's head made a twisting motion and snapped the boy's neck. The boy's body fell to the ground, and the pair of arms dragged the body inside.
