27?? idk.... Half of 6 is 3. Since it's age, your mom's sister isn't always going to be half of your mom's age. (If she is...MAGIC! xD) 6-3 is 3. So we know that your mom's sister is younger than her by 3 years. She's thirty now so 30 - 3 = 27.

Now let’s take a step into my brain. xD

MY BRAIN -
Half of 6 is 3 so her sister is 3. Her mom is 30 so 30 take away 6 (her old age) is 24.
24 plus 3 is 27 therefore her sister is 27 years old.
