So this will probably take me more than a day to make this so by the time you are reading this this post took me more than 1 day to finish

What is Le Mans?: Le Mans is the oldest endurance racing program that is held annually since 1923. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious auto mobile races in the world. It is located in France (circuit De La Sarthe) and the race lasts for 24 hours so in a nutshell your driving all day and all night inside an endurance car.

Ford Vs Ferrari origin: as far as I can know Ferrari was dominating the 24Hours of LeMans since the 1960s but at one point they were struggling financially while ford on the other hand wanted to go racing to sell more cars. Later on Henry Ford(ceo of Ford) and Enzo Ferrari(ceo of Ferrari) made deals where Ford could take some of the ownership from Ferrari to benefit them but Enzo said no. After the decline Henry Ford was real pissed and told his people to make a car that will beat Ferrari at LeMans and so the rivalry began.

64’: So the Ford company decided to make a race car that would be Le Mans and they successfully did it but there was one flaw, it would break down during Le Mans. So when they raced Le Mans in 64’ the car broke down letting Ferrari win the 64’ Le Mans (P.S. fiat bought Ferrari after rejecting fords deal)

65’: So after the terrible race Ford wanted to hire Carroll Shelby to help him make the GT with another help of a British person who fought in WW2 Ken Miles. Lemme say this Shelby and Miles were great mechanics and engineers on perfecting on cars. When Ken Miles tested the Ford GT he literally said “it’s awful” and so Miles changed a few things and luckily it was ready to race at Le Mans again but this time the Ford GT is now MKII GT40. Unfortunately Ford lost Le Mans once again because the engine broke down n such so unfortunately there was almost nothing left he could do.

66’: so after the depressing defeat of Ford they wanted to take one last shot and hope they can beat Ferrari this time. So as usual they went to race at Le Mans again with a few GT40s (most iconic ones are the #1 driven by Ken Miles and Denny Hulme and the #2 driven by the legendary Bruce Mclaren(yes the guy who created The Mclaren F1 racing team a long time ago) and Chris Amon). As they drove and drove Ford wanted to keep the GT40 in perfect condition by not using the full throttle and driving really fast but one car ignored and it was one other than the #1 Car Ken Miles and actually broke a few lap records. Later on the Ferraris broke down because of their new car they made which was a competitor to the GT40 and into the finish line Chris Amon and Bruce Mclaren were in first place while miles and hulme were in 2nd and that my friends was the year that Ford won Le Mans and later on Ford would win the 67, 68, and 69 Le Mans but before any of that happened Ken Miles unfortunately died due to a car accident (rest in peace Ken Miles)
