Lava glitchie? or not

*Only applies to diamond & up pyro users*
Some of my friends who play 1.2.10 say they can see usernames when they are in lava even though that player crouching.
Since im in 1.2.16 where you basically cant see anything in lava no usernames no body nothing. Its a pretty big advantage because the pyros in 1.2.10 can see where ever you go (kinda like xray but for lava) but anyone else 1.2.13 and above cant see anyone.
I know “dont go in lava then” but cmon, you cant tell a duck to not fly away when your shooting at it.

And if you dont follow what im saying
Basically Im a ranked pyro in 1.2.16 i hide in lava (crouching) to try and heal from another pyro whos also ranked but in 1.2.10 goes in the lava and can see my username if they hover over my player they attack me but i cannot see them at all but they can see me.

Bruh im sure letting 1.2.10 pyro lava ppl see other 1.2.13 and up lava people is a pretty unfair tactic

Im pretty darn salty cause of this whole glitch
