The fact they work at all is extremely useful.
You can instantly travel the entire length of the map. Wanna rush someone? Ender pearl. Get more gear? EP to mid. Getting too damaged in a fight? EP away. The cooldown is there for a reason.

Everyone who wants it removed is considering the one way it would benefit them and ignoring the dozens of others that would make them mad.

Well it wouldnt be so op if the only added good stuff on chests like lava and water buckets, fishing rods, good enchanted armor etc

Ep wouldnt be op if they added good items like fishing rods, enchanted armor and weapons, lava and water buckets etc

But you said that Ender pearls wouldn't be op if they added that stuff meaning you agree that it would be op.

Also, adding more overpowered items wont make Ender pearls any less overpowered

Yes it does and enderpearls arent that good i mean its imposibble to save yourself from falling with eps because of how laggy and buggy it is. Its also has only 1 use so you can only do it once. Half pf the time eps are useless because other people have it too
