Hi. I've been on Java for a while and decided to come back to take a look where Brokenlens has progressed. There's been good improvement, but still some things disappoint me. These are some things i would like to adress.
1. Issues with a quickly changing player base
MCPE is an app where you can download, and it appeals to many due to it's convenience. However it also results in a quickly changing player base as many will quickly outgrow it and some move on to Java, like me. This means the MCPE player base will always swap and i believe brokenlens should do more such as encouraging players to be more active on the forums, doing challenges to get them to explore many other games as well as maybe more community involvement to play together such that the new players will keep coming back to Brokenlens instead of quickly leaving.
2. Expectations of servers
I'm pretty sure many of the players would have seen videos of [a certain very big Java server] and they standards they are up to. No, this is not asking you to copy them, but i'd think some things really need to be updated and rotated once in a while, such as lobbies. It's honestly kind of boring just coming back and seeing the same lobby and thinking to myself: wait nothing has changed? A new lobby and better advertised new maps will certainly draw more players to join. I think if player's expectations are high then we should do something about it, do give suggestions to improve the experience @community
3. Pvp (urmm cos y not)
I know some staff do play pvp minigames, however have you seen how bad the pvp is here. No, i'm not talking about 1.8 combat, but seriously. You need to land like a gazillion hits on a slightly armored player with a stone sword just to kill them? This just makes the game boring and it gets tired. And continuous clicking ain't gonna fix the issue, they'll eat steak and then you take forever and forever to kill them. Seriously this needs to be fixed. Vertx should do something about the pvp and make it such that the pvp is quicker. People are driven away by that. Trust me. The pvp needs to be fixed
I think the staff have done a great job, but there's definitely room for improvement if you see what i suggested
I'll check back soon, hopefully things have changed.
Thanks, bye
