Is Kdr broken?

Soo,
A few days ago I tried to see how the kdr works on brlns and I basically join a SW game killed one person and get the kill to the stats, but when i feed the void with someone the kill just gave me the xp and didn't change my stats. Am I being wrong? , it's this broken? or its just how the stats works? .
(I'm complaining because I'm the type of the player that throw everyone in the void)

Void kills don't count as kills on BL, unfortunately

void kills dont go into your stats. only if you actually kill the person lol.
