So, I'll give a short backstory on Herobrine just for ya
So, Herobrine was first reported by a player in the Alpha stage of Minecraft on the following link:

During this point, he hadn't even been named "HeroBrine"
He was basically something the player noticed in the background wearing a steve
@lachlan40 skin with white eyes, who was just standing there and wasn't found again. Later, A streamer claimed to have found him,and named him HeroBrine but it was revealed that he was lying when the fans overheard him talking to his wife. He was then brought to life again, by a YouTuber, who made a series on this and ended up admitting that he was faking it.
It was later revealed by a Mojang employee that it was just a Zombie who had glitched out, but this fact couldn't grab a lot of attention, and ended up getting faded away, with many YTers making fake videos again and again.
So, as you see, Herobrine was proven to not exist by Mojang.
Thus, Herobrine never existed
