Is BrokenLens really getting toxic?

So... this is a rant that I may regret posting in the future. But I have to say what's on my mind. Here it is...

So, is BrokenLens really getting toxic? All servers have some toxic places, but we have a good lineup of players that want to prevent this stuff from happening in the future by reporting those toxic players. I mean, BL is a bit chill compared To LifeBoat and other minigame servers that have no rules about cussing or being toxic. I mean, I hear all these complaints about people claiming that they're hacking or bullying a different player all because they killed them but if you played on LifeBoat, there's a 25% chance that kid would think you're hacking all because you killed him or bully you because of that. The chances of that happening on BL is much smaller. On BL, I almost never get called a hacker unless I'm playing on a minigame where there's a lot of noobs like SG, SW, Or TNT Tag. So if you ever get called a hacker or get bullied, just think of this.

So that was not the type of toxic player I wanted to talk about. This is what I really wanted to talk about:

And... just the way that Manwee reacted to this post is just really immature. Yes, I understand that he's angry about 2017 OITC but that isn't the reason why all the other players quit BL. In their leaving threads, they didn't say "F**k BL. I'm quiting because OITC is toxic AF. I'm leaving this toxic community." And one of the quotes in this argument is, "we still join on alts to piss off all the new gens who bow spam but that's it." So if Manwee doesn't like bowspamming, then why does he do it to other people? That's just hypocrisy. So basically, these OITC players in this argument are acting more toxic than the noobs. And I know what people are going to say. "You know nothing about OITC, you don't know how OITC worked in 2016". Actually, yes, I do. I didn't play it much because I sucked at it and out of 20 wins, the only win I actually got was from camping the entire match.

So, what I'm trying to say is: Haters gonna hate. If you don't like 2017 OITC, don't play it. BL has 15 other minigames, maybe you can get competitive in a different minigame. Just, don't spread hate around the server. If you hate these players, don't play BL anymore.

I do agree to this, I mean yeah brlns isnt the same as before because people leave staff are hired and fired, stuff like that, But its also kind of sad to see all these I guess "alumni" of Brlns spit on it bc of "new players" "mean people" , crying over what was so "great" in the past. I bet toxicity was still there back then but it wasnt as big bc brlns was just starting and its growing communities so of course its all fine and dandy in the beginning. The gamings just different now than what they used to renember and they cant accept that change, yeah so what if what once was then isnt what it is now anymore? you have left ,dont expect things to stay the same when you come back. They over exaggerate whats good and whats bad now based on their own experiences back then and not really looking at the rules or the popular playing style of the game now,
over exaggerating how "toxic" and "low" brlns when its just the new big community, Dont expect everyone to play like fair adults and act all respectful towards you bc your an alumni or what ever and listen to you like your word should be law. The play styles are different now if you dont like it dont bash the entire server and community and call it "toxic" bc you disagree with whats not "good" or "pro". Like damn whinin over something that you think was a perfect server back then and quitting bc of it changing mockin all the new peeps who are probably just little kids like us who dont know any better to respect. You have to expect theres gonna be bad people and developments bc this community is ever growing with tons of different people and personalities to change and shape our community! PVP HAS CHANGED PEOPLE CHANGE GAMEPLAY CHANGES EVERYTHING CHANGES IN A WAY, dont expect when you come back everyones gonna love you and youll regain all your friends and have the same old fun Just accept the fact that the community changed ,the server changed and you have aswell.
in summary
I agree with marcus on this one, we get it brlns alumni, you dont like the changes this community has become, so try n do something instead of talking about how toxic ,horrible, nooby, and stupid on what brlns has become and mocking it bc its not the same anymore.
and if ya dont know what an alumni is
its pretty much a person who graduated somethin ig?

yes indeed, i saw lots of toxic players in BL. I am a toxic player too, u know, most of the pvpers are quite toxic, but at least i won't talk trash after i got killed legit, i will only BM if the other guy is rude or like in TH, another team out numbered me and still lost. Idk about other minigames since i only play on SW and TH, but some of the players in SW are so toxic, they even pvt me when i killed them by bow or some other stuff. This shows how they care about this game and they will even be mad when they lost, so when u see toxic players, just beat the crap out of them

So basically manwee is saying that he got onto an alt and killed them all to annoy them not with bow spamming . Correct your mind and about the toxicity ? I don't really care because it makes the game more interesting for me since I'm a drama's fan either about toxicity or anything else . Just enjoy yourself and fix whay you think need to be fixed instead of making this rant about toxicity .

Some people do say "I miss the old days" though. It's kind of similar, but eh, just wanted to point this out xD

About the toxicity, what Manwee means is that OITC is supposed to be a melee game (well in the Minecraft version anyway, I swear if someone comes and says "but the one from (whatever game OITC came from) is all about sniping (it actually is btw lol)!" I will actually rage), but a whole bunch of people decide to, instead, use the bow. Also the teamers. It's supposed to be a FFA game, which means you're supposed to go solo (or at least that's as far as my understanding of it goes. It's what someone told me, I never actually looked it up XD).

Manwee just goes on other accounts and bow spams because well let's be honest, that's like the only way to actually win anymore. Although it is hypocritical and I don't support it, that's just him doing him

I'm starting to play modern OITC often. It's not that bad, in my opinion. I mean, proably 'cause I'm used to SuckBoat. I found ways to counter the bowspammers just like I found ways to counter glitch abusers in TNTRun.
I even made a thread about countering bowspammers but nobody seemed to like it so I had it deleted ._.
Anyways, I the toxicity doesn't bother me very much. Mostly because I can roast the toxicness out of that player and shut them up. xD

In the end, BrokenLens isn't changing to me. I don't think it's getting worse. But that's just my opinion and your's is probably different. I just don't expect A TON from these servers, overall it's only a game, and games are for entertainment. There are plenty of other was to entertain yourself.

Oitc is based of call of duty which is not as good as overwatch, anyways lol.

It goes like this:
Fanboy 1: PrestonPlay is amazing! Same 4 SkyDoesminecraft and UNSPEAKABLE!
Me: I hate them all, minecraft youtubers SUCK, I can't find a decent channel
Fanboy 2: How DARE u
Me: you must be a minecraft fanboy then
