Cold rain pours on the dark grass and bare trees. It makes me think about that other rainy day two years ago, the day that changed my life forever…

I stretched my fingers across the bed trying to feel my sister's warmth, but instead, I felt nothing. I knew something was wrong, Olivia NEVER gets out of bed before me.
I pushed myself up and forced myself to step away from my warm bed. It looked so inviting, I just wanted to snuggle up and fall asleep. But I knew that I couldn't. I looked around my room to find the curtains were closed, and no morning light shined through like it always did. That meant my Mother hadn't be in my room, she always comes in in the morning and opens my curtains. Something was definitely wrong. I walked over to the window and opened the curtains. The downpour had flooded the roads. Even though the rain had stopped, water dripped like the tick of a very slow clock. The wind lashed against the windows and hammered at the glass. I quickly shut the curtains and sank to the ground, my back facing the wall. I didn't know what was going on, I just had this strange feeling that something terrible had happened.

I slowly tiptoed down the stairs, while my bare feet touched the stone cold steps, and my hands glided smoothly down the banister. Something was making me feel very uneasy. There was a fluttering feeling in my stomach as if I had swallowed a butterfly.

I think that deep down inside, I knew what was wrong, so as I reached the bottom step, I wasn't suprised to see a small piece of paper on the kitchen counter which informed me that my sister had been taking to hospital after she couldn't find her inhaler.

I dashed away from the house at full speed. I didn't know where I was going, I was just running away. Away from that house, away from my family, away from the world. I started to run faster and faster, my head down and my legs a blur of movement. I jumped and dodged through the trees, but eventually, there was nowhere else to run to.
I reached a dead end and fell to my knees. I was soaked through. My wet hair clung to my body, my clothes were completely wet, and I stared at everything before me with no care in the world. It was hard for me to tell when I had started crying as it was absolutely pouring with rain and I couldn't tell if the drops on my face were tears or raindrops. I did nothing but sit there letting my whole body be engulfed by the cold, rainy morning. There was only one thing I wanted at that moment. I wanted to be Invisible.

I might make a chapter 2, but I'm not sure (Pixie, Vix, Lia and Phoenix have seen this already, but Imma tag them because I changed the story a bit)

I stretched my fingers across the bed trying to feel my sister's warmth, but instead, I felt nothing. I knew something was wrong, Olivia NEVER gets out of bed before me. I propped myself up on one elbow and looked around my room. The curtains were closed, and no morning light shined through like it always does. I walked over to the window and opened the curtains. The downpour had flooded the roads. Even though the rain had stopped, water dripped like the tick of a very slow clock. The wind lashed against the windows and hammered at the glass. I didn't know what was going on, I just had this strange feeling, that something terrible had happened, and it was something life changing.

I slowly tiptoed down the stairs, while my bare feet touched the stone cold steps, and my hands glided smoothly down the banister. Something was making me feel very uneasy. It was gnawing at my stomach and fluttering as if I had swallowed a butterfly. As I reached the bottom step, I turned to the left and headed to the lounge. Through the doors I could just make out my Father, lying on the floor with two people beside him, who at moment I assumed were my Mother and Sister. I barged through the doors, fell to my knees and stared at my Father's lifeless body.
My high-pitched screams echoed throughout the house and bounced off the stone walls. At that moment nothing else in this cruel world mattered, because my Father was dead. I pushed myself off the floor and ran out the front door.

I dashed away from the house at full speed. I didn't know where I was going, I was just running away. Away from that house, away from my family, away from this stupid world. I started to run faster and faster, my head down and my legs a blur of movement. I jumped and dodged through the trees.
I reached a dead end and fell to my knees. I was soaked through. My wet hair clung to my body, icy droplets on my skin and dampening my clothes, as I stared out at everything before me with eyes blind to the world. I didn't care anymore. It was hard for me to tell when I had started crying and it was even more difficult to see through my tears and the rain on my face as I turned to look at the sky above me. I could do nothing but stand and let my body be engulfed by the cold and wet morning. I wanted to be
Invisible.
