Hello welcome to Interesting Paradoxes
Today's paradox is:

Newcomb's Paradox

You are presented with 2 boxes. One is Transparent and filled with 1,000$. Second is opaque and filled with 1,000,000$

You have to choose to either open both boxes, or open only the second box. But there's a catch

A supercomputer with very high accuracy will try and predict what you will do, if he predicts you will open both box, he will not put 1,000,000$ on the other. If he predicts you will open only the second box, he will put 1,000,000$ in it

The supercomputer has made his prediction, what will you do?

What is the most rational thing to do? They are both logical and rational answers but you can only do one

Throw water at the computer and steal the money!
The most rational thing to do is hijack the computer.
watch r-rated videos on the computer to give it a virus
open the 2nd box and then break the computer and open the other
delete system32
The computer already made the prediction so all your answers are useless :p

After hearing the computer’s prediction, most people would decide to only open the second box. However, if this computer is extremely accurate like you said, then the computer will probably predict that I would open the second box; and thus the computer won’t put any money into the second box despite saying otherwise. In this case, I’m choosing not to trust this computer because this choice seems too simple. Choose to open both boxes and only get one thousand, or choose to open only the second box and receive one million. Because I’m deciding to not trust this computer, I would use reverse psychology and choose to open both boxes. Now, there’s a chance that I would only receive a thousand, but that’s still money. If I went on the assumption that the computer was telling the truth about only picking the second box and gaining one million, then I would’ve lost a lot of money. But if the computer was deceiving about only picking the second box and gaining one million, then I would’ve gotten at least one thousand dollars rather than none. To summarize, I would think that my choices were actually: choose to open both boxes and receive one thousand, or choose to open only the second box and receive none. So in conclusion, I would choose to open both boxes. I might've overestimated the computer, or I might've ignored the fact that the computer could predict that I would use reverse psychology, and the robot would then use reverse psychology on me; but I'm going to play it safe by choosing to open both boxes.

This is an excellent paradox damn

Both options honestly has a valid point and a good argument so there's really not a "Best Option" People would say that picking to open both will provide the most benifits because either way you will earn more than you already did. But picking only the second will provide you a massive chance to earn massive amount of money. I like your argument tho :)
