So, i have seen alot of people unable to connect to BrokenLens recently, and these are the main reasons you can't. If it's still not fixed by this, please comment here or contact me on Discord: Marteh#7343
1. Version too high/low
First you should check what version you are. Now BrokenLens still supports versions all the way down to 1.2, maybe even more, but if you're down 1.2, you should update your version.
If you are at a really high version (This period: 1.7) You'll maybe not be able to connect to BrokenLens, because it still doesn't support the version. This means you'll have to wait or downgrade (Tutorials on YouTube, only works for Android and Windows 10). This won't take more long than a few hours, until a few days.
2. Not connected via Xbox Live correctly
If you're not correctly connected via Xbox Live, you may not be able to join any server since you'll have to use Xbox Live to join a server, to fix this, simply restart your game, or logout and then login on the Xbox Live app. This problem will be warned by the game itself most of the times.
3. Servers are down
I don't think this happens too often, but there can be a moment where the BrokenLens Servers can be down, this can happen because of crashes, for example overload, or a quick bug fix that has to happen where the servers have to be stopped to fix it.
The problem should be fixed now. but if not, you should contact BrokenLens or me. But i hoped i fixed your problem. Good day guys!
