There’s not necessarily enough work for all the staff to do at once, like there’s rarely any rule breakers in general and some questions are answered by tryhards within 2.9 seconds after the post are made - it’s not like they don’t try or don’t make any effort, you guys clearly don’t know what goes on behind the curtains, they’re still very active in convos and reply to whatever they can - once again, it’s generally not hurting anyone or taking up someone else’s opportunity of becoming a staff so in reality there’s really nothing wrong with it.
like, most of the reports or questions have already been answered or dealt with and that’s not their fault. People have lives and it’s totally understandable, if the network was bigger than it already is and we needed more active staff then we’d obviously look for more, but right now it’s not necessarily a problem, things still get done regardless of how much or little staff there might be online. Plus, most of them are asleep right now cause timezones, or they have their online status off and are trying to focus on life / school cause I’m pretty sure most people are doing exams and studying around this time, or like.. half my friends are at least. Regardless of what you see or know, the inactive staff do work - wherever it’s in convos or on discord, insta, the server, etc, they indeed do some private work or unknown to players.
(Btw none of these things are specifically towards you, just a general sorta though)
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to understand why people make such a fuss about staff being inactive, it doesn’t make them useless or automatically mean we should drop down the demote hammer - they’ve got a life and if nobody else is able to understand that then maybe they should get a life as well, (ok that sounds harsh but I feel like you might know what I mean? I don’t mean it in a disrespectful or ‘you’ve got no life’ sorta way) because people have things to do and absolutely every human being should be able to understand that. Not all people can balance their real life and social media the same way others can, you can’t expect people to have the same lifestyle as you or others. this is really just a game, it’s not gonna kill anyone if their question doesn’t get answered right away or they get killed by one or two hackers, I completely understand the frustration and all opinions are valid but you guys take these sort of things so so so far out the water and it’s just so odd to me, I suppose. Until you’re put in that situation yourself and have to almost choose between focusing on your life itself or having to worry about people wanting to demote you for absolutely *needing* to focus on yourself and your life, then I don’t think anyone will ever truly be able to understand the way staff do. It’s not exactly something most of us want to do, I’m sure every staff member would love to be active and productive in real life all at the same time, but yourself will always come before anybody or anything else.
the builders have completely different timezones than most of the staff, like the twins or wither (etc) so you could expect the builders to be online at different times than the staff, just like the staff are online whenever the builders aren’t.
