(Just to start this off this has nothing to do with anything recent, but is meant overall)

I (in MY own opinion) think that reviving discussion threads is perfectly fine...BUT...I also have a issue with certain threads staying open...lemme explain. If a thread has been uploaded and it has a certain amount of time that it's been there then I feel like they should be locked because like....let's all be honest they are 100% useless. And everyone wants them dead soooo...

I (personally) think that if a thread is at least 1 month old then it should be locked (only non-important discussion threads. Unless a STAFF member is waiting for someone to reply to that thread)

Like...if it's the month of February and the thread has been open for 2 weeks (but it's still in the month of February....then it's perfectly fine. But if it's February and a thread was last replied to and January and died off...please stop reviving them like why...I understand if it's important...but majority of these are simple topics....so like why. And some people I KNOW purposefully just...reply to old threads...

Me, I tend to reply to threads someone else revived (because I'm stupid and don't read the days as soon as a response pops up) but once deeper into conversation in a thread something in my mind clicks to read the dates. And by that time it's to late so oof.

But yea this is just my opinion. And I'm cool with disagreements. And I'm pretty sure that no one else might really care about locking useless threads. So idk...

Just my opinion...

(and I just thought about this just now so if anyone makes a comment about me trying to lock recents thread don't.)

A month or two is fine, although any older then that would be a bit pointless.

I disagree- a good example is a map submission thread you wanted locked yesterday. Sometimes old threads being boosted is a good thing and there is really no need to lock threads unless someone asks for their own thread to be locked or if a thread is getting toxic

I try finding threads to reply too but. I don’t read the dates rip

It gives the staff members more unnecessary work, and some threads like those word game threads or counting threads in off-topic can die off but then be revived again, and I agree with Ally too.

Why would ppl look at old threads in the first place?
