I don’t think most people understand what “cup ramen” means, and how it differentiates from other ramen.

Cup ramen, as the name implies, is ramen in a cup. It’s always instant and is always in a cup. Cup ramen is better for cheap food that is fast to eat and heat up, and is great when traveling.

Instant ramen or packaged ramen on the other hand is ramen that comes in a square or rectangle package. After cooking it, you put it in a bowl. Packaged ramen is better for sitting down and eating. It is also great for cheap, quick, and tasty food.

Some ramen (like the one above) is considered “dry ramen”. I’m not gonna go into that unless people want me to.

Hopefully that clears up a bunch of confusion, because I think like half of the votes for people using spoons when eating CUP Ramen really are just using spoons for packaged ramen.
