I need some help

So I had this good Minecraft world I made lots of progress on, and then when I went on Minecraft I clicked my world and it was taking a long time to load, so I turned off my computer then I turned it on and went on Minecraft and my my world disappeared, someone please help me I really want to get that world back, and ideas of what I should do?
