Why are people getting banned for reporting others?

I just woke up and it’s morning, I ate and changed. I wanted to play more Murder Mystery so I went on BrokenLens only to see a message saying I am banned for 15 hours. I also saw another post of people complaining that reporting people can get you banned. I recently reported ForfeitSinger45 for fly and jump hacks yesterday, so I think I got banned for reporting... pls help
