Hello!
So as the title says I could use some help xd

I have to write two contrasting poems and I decided to do it on night and day. The problem is I don’t know how to start either and I need 20-30 lines which is also a challenge

I just need either some starting ideas or even just comparisons and differences (obviously not like day is bright and night is dark)

Thank you in advance ^^

You could maybe start with sunrise and sunset as a contrast, dawn or dusk, you could maybe start by describing the sun and moon using imagery.

I'm not sure how to get you started but here are my thoughts on night and day:

Night for me is freedom, solitude, thinking time, dreaming, contemplating conversations from the day, relaxation. The stars/moon/night sky are beautiful and peaceful. The night is for secrets and vulnerability.

Day is a new beginning, full of potential and opportunity. Thinking ahead to what I can accomplish. Day is for things I HAVE to do vs things I WANT to do. Day is vibrant and colorful. Full of life.

Every day I wake up and think today is going to be a great day. I make a mental list of the things I need/want to accomplish. Part of my night is checking off mentally what I did or didn't accomplish because "tomorrow is another day".

I feel like you have to use something about the light/dark aspect of day and night. Day is almost like the birth of the Sun and night is like it's death, only to be reborn again, etc., etc. Those last two sentences are making me cringe but I'm gonna leave them. I hope this helps you! Good luck :)
