That number 250/18800 means something like maybe it means the ping or like if it is low you can't join and if it is high then you can. Look I'm not sure, so I might be wrong.

And this might be a problem with your wifi or if you don't have the legit minecraft from store and used illegal means to download and remove licence verification.

Or it's just that Vertx was updating some stuff. He added the snow maybe cuz of that you couldn't join, but now I'm pretty sure you can join. Try joining.
