An admin (or mod) can’t set your YT rank if you don’t have proof you own your channel
It’s not that hard, just go to your channel and take a screenshot while signed into your account

From what I know, staff can reset those warning points. When you already reached the maximum limit which is 3 mistakes, then you are not allowed to claim it because you have warning points.
There is also a way in claiming YouTube rank here in forums. By doing the following :
1. Show your channel.
2. You need to have at least 1000 and above amount of subscribers.
3. 1 or more BrokenLens video content.
