???’s POV
Day 3 is already underway but unfortunately not much is happening so far. Where’s the action when I need it? This is so boring...
Complex Santa’s POV
While exploring, I happened to get captured. The tribute who captured me was SteelHammer. He visibly looks insane so it’s a miracle I’m alive. He vanished a little while ago and I’m trying to escape the rope he tied me up with. Just before I can get my hands free, he returns. He cuts the rope and leads me somewhere deeper into the trees. When we stop, I notice Ben and Sheldorium. They’re both tied to a tree, kinda like how I was just a few minutes ago. SteelHammer shoves me towards the two. He wants me to kill one of them. I don’t think I can do it though, I mean I’m not much of a killer. So instead of killing them, I undo their ropes. They waste no time in running away, and I wish I ran away too. An angry and insane SteelHammer pushes me to the ground. He angrily babbles on about how I just let fresh blood run away. Unfortunately for me, that’ll be the last thing I hear.
SteelHammer’s POV
I’ve killed so many tributes already and I can’t seem to stop. All I want is more blood and more kills to add. I think there’s something wrong with me, have I gone insane with bloodlust?
Sheldorium’s POV
After escaping from that crazy SteelHammer, I ran into Eurazel again. She doesn’t seem in the right state of mind though. Instead of trying to fight me she throws herself at my feet, begging me to just kill her. Is she crazy? I try talking sense into her. I don’t want to kill her, even though she did break my nose and steal my bread basket...
Somehow I get through to her. She realizes what she was doing and immediately changes her attitude. Guess we will become an alliance for the time being.
Ben’s POV
After escaping from SteelHammer I found a flower patch. I couldn’t resist and so I stopped in the field to pick flowers. I mean, they’re so pretty and they’d make a really good flower crown. I’ll only pick a few...
???’s POV
I sigh as I look over the screens that cover the arena. Only one death so far? One screen suddenly catches my eye though. Ben and Karms are approaching each other. This could be interesting, so I keep watching. I’m soon disappointed though because instead of stabbing each other like I hoped, they snuggled. Are you kidding me? I sigh again as I see Ally and Bear together. I noticed their interlaced hands and facepalm. This is the Games. It’s supposed to be full of death and gore, yet here they are holding hands.
Luckily for me, the pairs all break off after some time. Maybe I’ll finally get some good action.
Ally’s POV
I caught wind of a tribute who has gone insane. I’m trying my best to avoid him. While searching for some food, I get a sudden feeling of dread. I hear someone coming. I raise my sword and face where I think the person is coming from. Unfortunately I come face to face with SteelHammer. I’m not gonna back down, even if he is insane. He makes the first move, charging at me with his blood stained knife. That attack was easy to dodge. He charges again, and I decide to trip him. He falls with a decent thud and I point my sword at him and walk closer. He’s insane, so killing him will put him out of his misery. Without hesitation, I raise my sword and bring it down towards him in a rough swing. Just in time before he would’ve stabbed me from below.
Sheldorium’s POV
After my run in with Eurazel, we split up. It just seemed safer. I was camping out at a river side cooking some fish I had just caught. I was watching the tree line in case someone tried sneaking up. I see a flash of some black hair, but I just assume it’s an animal. As I start putting my fire out, someone attacks me. I get knocked to the ground and I’m forced to grab a knife just inches from my neck. Luckily with my adrenaline I’m able to keep the knife away and push them off. I then realize it was Nash who attacked me, and also I don’t have a weapon with me. Nash charges at me, and I manage to dodge. Before he could charge me again with his weapon, I grab him and manage to toss him into the river. He would have to take some time getting out, so in the meantime I ran as fast as I could away from him.
Karms’ POV
While walking through the trees, I found a strange weapon. It looked like something the Grim Reaper would carry around. I decide to take it with me because well it’s a weapon. I rather use it than have it used against me.
For a little while I just wander around gathering some berries to eat. While walking back to my temporary base camp, I hear someone behind me. They sound like they’re approaching pretty fast. I take a better hold on my strange weapon from earlier and I let the person behind come closer. When I think they’re within range, I turn and swing the weapon, hoping to have hit. Luckily for me I did hit, but now the person was on the ground. I lean over them and notice it’s Ben. I poke his side, thinking a single blow from this weapon wouldn’t be enough to kill. Guess I was wrong.
???’s POV
The second half of today has proven quite exciting despite the events from earlier. Time to sound the cannon fire. The first for Complex Santa, who mistakenly didn’t kill. Another for the insane SteelHammer that was subdued by Ally. The last for Ben, who didn’t even see the attack from the front coming.
Only 8 tributes remain. Let’s hope the action picks up.
