Hum.

What do you mean? .-.
It depends on how you look
Like if you were supposedly "hot" or "pretty" you wouldn't usually experience any problems like the ones you stated
But if you had insecurity about yourself you most likely have those problems because of what people say to you and such again that's just the impression I got at my old primary school

That's true. It also seems to be the same at secondary school.

Like she said, the younger generation tends to idolize looks and not much else. I guess everyone has their own personal problems but from I've seen, there seems to be more problems related to appearance more than anything else. ;-;

Do people just try and impress others then? Doesn't that mean the friends they make aren't treally friends?

Oh, I meant people have a lot of problems with how they look. Like, a lot of people I know are self conscious about their looks. What I was trying to say was that our generation really cares about looks and that isn't really healthy. Sorry if I came off as rude! :p

Well, people who are "Gorgeous" do feel insecure about themselves too. Because people call someone pretty, but they might not feel pretty.

This is a bit of a weird question but what problems do the younger generation of our society experience? Peer pressure, not fitting in, loneliness? By younger generation I mean 9-17 years old. I'm asking as a redo of a thread I made earlier and deleted. Hum.

As people said, looks are connected to a lot of problems - self-esteem, views and thoughts on society. How society perceives you seems to influence how you perceive yourself.

However, what other people didn't seem to add is that it all starts from these problems - very little ones: popularity, peer pressure but then they stem into something more if you're unlucky.

Society's view is this: if you look fine, you are fine. How. Wrong. They. Are.

I said that's the impression that I got at my school none of the "pretty" girls felt insecure about themselves

Not really.
I just moved schools recently and I already have a challenge with my tutor to play a game of scrabble xD
Of course it's harder to communicate since not everyone is native from Malaysia (where I'm from d: ) but I can do it. Mostly though my school is a "boys stick with boys and girls stick with girls and we'll never bother each other" kind of school so I can never find someone who will allow me to annoy them 24/7 and tell them pervy jokes which they will actually laugh at instead of saying "ew" -3-
