listen to music-
no distractions
make yourself take 5 minute breaks here and there
rolling paper is very helpful i find, just tear off a small-ish piece from something and just roll it back and forth

if none of those work then slam your head into your bed/desk while screaming

Usually for me when I study I record what my teacher says (if i'm allowed to) take notes read them while listening to the recordings..

Make sure you're in a quiet place you can focus..
Turn off you're electronics and put then away if you see them near you, you may want to grab it but don't
Highlight anything you go over that may be important
Go over any old test w/ the same topic
Take 2-3 minute breaks
Test yourself on a topic make sure you understand it if you don't you will know what you need to go over

My way is to study first, take a note/paper and try to write down the answers you remember several times, usually works for me (like a visual for tomorrow test)
example for what I did for my mandarin final exam

So I have to remember all of these Hanzi & even the tones (not just this 1 side paper I have 4 page of them xD)
and the teacher asked us to write a dialogue story and so I did

I got the perfect score for this part but overall my score is 93. Also I always used to do q&a since I was little with my parents or my sister or Trenz and because of this technique I can reach top 3 & 5 in my class for 5 and half years

I see the japanese kanji for exit XD (kanji and mandarin are very similar, due to the fact that Japan was influenced by China)

For me I take all my important pages from that class and get either a notebook or paper and write all the important points with descriptions or examples then study those. Don’t make it overwhelmingly long but don’t miss anything important.

Another idea a teacher told us was a method where you study 20 mins and then take a 5 minute break in between to do something you like like a video game or checking social media even if it’s just 5 mins it still gives you the feeling of wanting to study that extra time and earn your breaks.

Make sure all the notes you write down look clean and proper so you can study them after but don’t dwell on the cleanliness to much or u will waste time...Also when you do the notes I personally do them by chapter to make sure it’s organized :)

happy studies xD

It really depends on what type of learner you are (visual, auditory, etc) and what subject you’re trying to study.

Since I’m an auditory learner, I like to say my notes, little by little, out loud multiple times. I do this for subjects that are/similar to history, economics, biology, physics, chemistry, etc. For me, math isn’t really hard. But if I were to study math, I would just memorize what I need for the assessment (like equations) and know how to solve the problems.

For language subjects, I would just study the vocab by saying it out loud (don’t forget to memorize the grammar parts of the subject too). For languages like Mandarin or Japanese, I learn the characters by repetition (writing it over and over again).

As for the proper studying environment, I like to study at a desk (with a lot of space) and proper lighting. As for electronics, I keep them at my desk just in case a friend of mine FaceTimes me for homework, tests, and other stuff.

Also, be sure to always pay attention in class. Class lecture always makes you understand your notes better; thus making it easier for you to study.

damn your characters r so neat xd
someone give me studying tips omfg
It depends on what type of assessment you're studying for.
I usually rewrite key things for my short tests, since that's how I remember stuff, and it also helps to repeat the material to yourself so that you can memorise things if necessary.
