I usually rush the neighbours (as fast as i can possibly do) but sometimes I'd rush the mid, it usually depends on the map im playing on. It also depends on what items i get in the chests on my base, if it contains a lot of blocks, I'd probably speed bridge to the mid but if i get a diamond sword/axe or iron sword, I'd usually just rush the neighbours.

In solo SW I usually rush to the middle but in Team SW i rush to my teammates' islands and kill people without always going to the middle except for some moments (EX, the team against us are in the middle, getting better armor.. etc).

I usually loot all my chests from my island. Then if I can I try to mine the gold, diamond, and coal ore because they give u items. Then I either bridge or epearl to the mid and loot everything quick. I suggest going to mid because while ur in mid players are killing each other so therefore u have to do less work. (Note) You'd prolly need to be good at pvp bc some players go to mid.
