After over 2 years of playing quake I finally came to a few conclusions on why people hardly ever play quake anymore.
Platforms- don’t get me wrong I respect all players equally but mostly it’s usually either pc or control players and sometimes pure mobile players and that’s it’s issue there are a few advantages and disadvantages to each platform, the most disadvantaged platform is mobile players and more on that to the 2nd reason. Generally with all the platforms “together” it gives pc players more of an advantage.
Mobile: now I’m excluding the mobile players with Bluetooth console, but here’s the issue with actual mobile players, When becoming a skillful player in quake it’s a lot more harder to become more accurate because you need a finger to move yourself and the other to shoot in which it’s takes longer for mobile players to shoot and the hardest part for me is accuracy because when aiming it’s hard to master to “multi task” with 2 thumbs and yes doing claw may help but in the end pc players will get the best out of you.
