hello!
so recently someone has given me Minecraft java edition, but everytime I try and connect to the server this error message pops up:

connection lost internal exception io:netty.handler.codec.decoderexception:java.lang.indexoutofboundsexception: readerindex (9) + length(1) exceeds writerindex (9): pooledunsafedirectbytebuf(ridx: 9, widx: 9, cap: 9)

I am pretty sure this server works with java as it says so at the top of the screen when I played on my phone. am I correct?
if anyone can help me resolve this issue or even tell me what it means I would really appreciate it! thank you so much for reading! have a great day
