Time to pile on with all the other threads saying this.

Fisherman kit needs nerfed. Farmer got nerfed pretty quickly once people suggested it (i think idk) so why has fisherman not been? They just sit there and shove food in their mouth while you try to kill them and it’s quite annoying especially since they get even more food from their spawn island. Farmer gives pretty similar stuff so why was it nerfed and not this kit lol

I agree, 5 cooked salmons and 5 cooked cods r way too much (a cooked salmon is 3 hp and a cooked cod is 2.5 hp so idk in total how much hp that is but i can tell its too much) and especially when they get armors and weapons that r soo easy to get it makes that kit kinda 2 op, so since farmer has eggs and 5 chickens i say fisherman should have 5 cooked cods and 2 cooked salmons since eggs are absolutely much better than a fishing rod

I agree. It should be like 4 and 4. The rod isn't as good as eggs so it shouldn't be like farmer level takeaway in terms of food. I main this kit but I want a nerf before everyone starts playing it. Seriously I just play it for Haha funny rod. Yeah it has too much food.
I think 4 and 4 is a good amount because:
- If it was 3 and 3 it would heal only 1.5 hearts more than than farmer kit which already has better projectile. Eggs are better than rods. Cod heals 2.5 and salmon heals 3. Overall fisherman would heal 1.5 hearts more that farmer if it was nerfed to 3 and 3 although due to the fact that eggs are spammable and have loads of range and KB farmer would be way better. Maybe 4 and 3 would work but I think that's the overkill line.
-When compared to other kits fisherman is heavily reliant on RNG. If you really want the food nerfed past 4 and 4 then a piece of chain armor could be given per food below 4 and 4 so It's just as good but relies more on skill and not the RNG chance of a good armor.

So... I would say the kit should be nerfed down to:
4 and 4 fish
Or...
One piece of chain armor per fish below 4 and 4 fish. If you want more cod removed it would make sense for a lower tier chain piece to be added like boots or helm, but if a salmon was removed it should get a higher tier chain piece. Overall if it got the full chain set with the removal of 4 fish from the 4 and 4 combination I had also suggested It would heal less than buster, but would have the rod.

My first choice I think would make the kit similar to how it is currently but a more balanced with same playstyle, although I think my second option is better for the server despite deviating from It's old playstyle, due to it being less RNG dependent.

That seems like an acceptable nerf as well as the one I said. Although I think the cod should be 2 and salmon 5 if you want that, instead of 5 cod and 2 salmon.

its probably not nerfed because... i mean who would use fisherman kit? although i am strategic with the rod, its just i die a very quickly. But that’s just me cause i have really bad luck with the kit

People would still use it for the food. The rod is kind of funny also so there’s another reason

Actually lots of people are beginning to use the kit for it's food. I've always played it for haha funny fishing rod.
I think you might not do well with the kit because many players who play armor based kits like Buster arent used to taking as much damage for melee attacks, and as well they don't know as well how to conserve food when not in any armor due to them taking damage at a faster rate, so they waste more food then they need. This doesn't apply to only players who play armor based kits. Like when I switched from creeper to fisherman, I wasn't conservative with food at all and I didn't use it well, so that hindered me in combat. In reality, a good fisherman player kills everybody easily unless he is getting 5v1ed or something like that due to the amount of food they have. The rod meanwhile not being on the leagues of a bow and eggs on how good those projectiles are, still is useful after practice.

I think it hasn't been done because we were all so focused on farmer being nerfed- 10 chicken was wayyyyyy too op that we didn't bring up fisherman until after- I agree it could use a small nerf 5/2 or 4/3

I'd say 4 and 4 instead of 4 and 3. 4 and 3 would be good if the 3 was cod not salmon. I did also suggest per fish under 4 and 4 the kit gets a chain armor piece.
I also agree with you on why fisherman didn't get nerfed straight with farmer. Farmer was leagues ahead of it in how OP it was. Compared to pre nerf Farmer, fisherman was kinda trash

I feel like that's only an mb problem though lol Maybe they could do a redo of the mb kits and have unique kits just for that game so it's more balanced and its not everyone using buster/pyro lol

Emerald pyro is only OP in MB. Plus in other game it takes skill to play because it doesn't give food. I think round 3 will be buster because everyone plays it and it makes games stale at times. Although after a fisherman nerf I'd just say buff low tier kits. If buster got nerfed emerald pyro would then dominate, and then we would have to nerf that. Overall I'd just say It's easier to buff trash kits like frozone, builder, and warrior. If we keep nerfing after fisherman nerf then the meta would just be nerfing top tiers and that would be no fun. In terms of pyro kit I just think unranked pyro should have same fire power as emerald. (Unranked pyro fire power sucks)
