Hermione's Attempts at Drawlloween

Day 5 - Full Moon Follies
IMG_0264.JPG

Oh gods this is terrible
First, I couldn't think of anything better than a wolf silhouette in fronts moon? SIRIUSLY?! UGH!
And second, I should have left the yellow out of it. The picture makes it look too neon - UGH - and I left the shaded areas without colour, because I didn't know if it would mess up the marker, and I think it was starting to run out anyway... so the grey and yellow are mismatched .-.
THIS IS IT! From this point I'm going to try to draw actual SCENES for Drawlloween, even if the background isn't coloured.

Day 6 - Folklore Friday
IMG_0266.JPG

Oh man, I'm pretty proud of this.
This, my friends, is La Diablesse - the devil woman. I searched up folklore of my region for this one and realised... I only knew three characters. Or, well, one character and two other creatures.
La Diablesse wasn't one that I knew. She is a woman who made a deal with the devil. She appears from behind trees next to roads, luring men into the forest to their deaths. And sometimes she's an old woman, though I don't know how well that works for her... She's depicted wearing traditional, old fashioned clothes, sometimes with a turban but sometimes with a brimmed hat to hide her face. She has the face of a corpse. One of her legs is like a cow's, and she hides it under the dress.
The colouring isn't great, but I am happy with how La Diablesse herself came put, and I'm proud of myself for drawing at least a little bit more than JUST her. :)
Maybe some of what I said about La Diablesse is wrong, but that's just what I gathered from Google earlier today. Also, this makes me think of when my art teacher would make us draw scenes from Anansi stories - he's the character I knew. I dropped Art though. That teacher was kinda crazy, and it was against Chemistry which I LOVE.
