Hello,
I want to mention that I’ve seen a Lot of You guys want to know how to create a Minecraft Server.
What is a server?
A Server is a computer or computer program which manages access to a centralized resource or service in a network. Servers in McPE are the one of the best places to meet people across the world.
How to Join a server?
To join a server, you will need a IP and a Port of the server. Let’s say brokenlens. The ip of brokenlens is play.brlns.net. The server’s port is 19132. So after you know the information of the server, simple open Minecraft:be and click the multiplayer/server tab located at the top right corner. Then enter a suitable name and put the ip and port. Then click “Join” or “Save”. This is how we can join a server.
What is a Port?
A port is denoted by 5 Numbers in Minecraft Pe. The default port for Minecraft Pe is 19132, which is auto filled when you enter ip of a server. Most servers have the port as default, others have their own. For example: 19134.
What is IP?
IP is the short form of “Internet Protocol” It is denoted by numbers. There are two types of Ip’s in mc:be.
-Dedicated IP
A dedicated ip is a ip with your own domain. Just for example: play.(name).com/net. It is used so that players won’t have to type a sketchy ip. Like 192.181.***.
-Default IP
A default Ip means your static ip. Static IP is a type of ip found in every router/wifi. Every time your wifi restarts, your local ip changes. But static ip is the only ip that doesn’t change.
Types of Servers:
-Minigames
-HCF (Hardcore factions)
-Roleplay
-Factions
How to create a server?
First of all, there are two types of servers!
-Paid servers
These servers are hosted by companies. They require money because the server is hosted on their wifi, thus they have powerful computers so we don’t get lag. But never the less, no website would ever create a server without advertising. They use a system called “Credits”. They can be earnt by seeing ads or playing games, or even buying them.
-Free Servers
As I mentioned, they also require the system of Credits to be run. But they can also be created by anyone, by using a server creator called “PocketMine”
Steps to create a server!
To create a server,follow the below steps:
- Download your server creator, for example: Pocketmine,Genesis,Nikkit etc.
-Try getting the phar. A phar is a file which contains all the stuff and commands. Try to host server on PC so it is more easier.
-Download the version if your using pocket mine, download beta/stable (Try both). Then enter the details and basically click create/ok
-Then don’t click start. What you need to do is replace the phar found in pocket mine folder with the phar you downloaded. Make sure the phar is named as PocketmineMP.Phar
-Then click start and boom, your server is created.
-To join, basically click the friends tab. Then their should be a pop up saying lan games. LAN games are the servers hosted on your wifi. Thus no one other than the person who’s connected to your wifi can access it.
-If it doesn’t pop up, then search for Local ip on google, and enter the ip in your servers tab.
-You can also put plugins and set motd.
-To use plugins, simply copy and paste them into your plugins file found in pocket mine. They can be found on plugin sites such as Poggit or ImagicalMine. Search them on google :3
Free Servers:
To create a server hosted by the company for free, simply download Multiplayer master from google play store, sign in and create your server. But that is only hosted till your in the game.
How to allow other people to join your Minecraft server?
It is done by a method called “Portforwarding”. Now everyone has different router. So try looking into your wifi manual or searching on YouTube. There are lots of tutorials stating how to do forwarding. I might as well create one tutorial.
