Help

take a break and relax first, watch a funny vid or somethin that calmes you down. Then do the assignments which are the easiest ones you can finish the fastest, every time you get stressed again, relax.

I am so stressed and tired atm. My teachers gave me so many exams and assignments to do. My hands are gonna break. :dead:

Food and snacks have been a key. If you aren't someone who's distracted easily or find yourself focusing better at school/where people are around, try listening to videos of people talking about stuff, or even MC lets-plays. Plus, it'll set you up for life-life, where there won't be as many quiet times, as your responsibilities and workplaces grow.

If you're interested I can link a bunchhh of stuff. It's crazy how some people study so much better and longer when they just have life going on around them (depending on how you learn). I used to think that I could only study or focus when I'm by myself, but when I advanced in school, independent work wasn't as common.

It is now an absolute necessity for me to have something else going on while I work. Whether it be listening to videos, being on calls with somebody else etc. Normally sound-based 2 tasking, I find texting is more of a distraction if you need to look at the communication platform/phone every 30 seconds.

Good luck! :eek::eek:

if you're preparing for exams then i'll suggest studying at the library bc you see others being productive, it will basically force you to do the same. in addition, tag a friend who is a good influence to you- somebody who can provide assistance to you (you can absorb information from them and they can reinforce the knowledge that they've already learnt). bring some snacks with you and take regular breaks in between- you don't want to be burnt out before your exams xd

my senior head teacher taught my year group the "Pomodoro Technique" while I was completely my HSC. it basically consists of 25minutes of intensive study with 5 minutes break and you do this for 3 or 4 rounds. remember to use those 25 minutes wisely... by maximising application rather than memorising content bc most examination questions are based on skills.

With assignments, I would suggest starting them as soon as possible. My plan was;
1. Annotate around the assignment sheet or given inquired question(s)
2. Make note of the given duration of the assignment- usually it is a 2 week turnaround.
3. Usually teachers will give hints on their expectations with what sits on a A, B, C etc range. Dot them down and include them in your assignment
4. Write your first draft- it doesn't matter if it isn't the best. There is a reason why you need to create drafts.
5. Hand your draft(s) to your teacher for feedback and utilise those "bonus" marks to boost your assignment.
6. Remember to check your grammar and spelling. It will make your writing coherent and sophisticated.

That's what I basically did throughout my final year of high school. If you're seriously struggling then I strongly encourage you to talk to someone about it. All the best with your study, you got this! :D
