Since the outcome of the PvP BaTtlE depends on how much food each player has and less on how equipped or how good each player is at pvp, we need a 0.75-1.5 second cooldown (depending on the amount of hearts a food unit gives) so they can't heal during the fight. In addition dupers won't have that much of an advantage

I disagree with a cooldown like this. To be honest this will make the game potentially pay 2 win.
My reasoning for this is one simple thing:
Pyro kit.
It doesn't have food because it is focused on one thing: High as frick damage. At default level (no rank) it is quite bad where it's power doesn't do much, but at emerald level it makes the damage WAY higher, allowing for ridiculous damage as well as pyro getting better armor for protection and fire resist. In a battle where you cannot heal, and the enemy does 2X your damage then you are basically done for. And this damage is only avalable to emerald level the game is basically pay 2 win. Yeah so unless you want all PVP games to die, don't do this.
Also once Vertx made this optional for a food cooldown and people hated it and it got removed in like 2 days.

I agree with the pay to win possibility part, but Vertx canceled food completely while I'm suggesting to make food less influential. I remember those days, and i couldn't eat at all

That is true. But you have to remember that different foods heal different amounts. I do recall suggesting an idea once that did change this. I recall it being any food that heals 2.5-2 hearts or less can be eaten in around 0.75 sec, but anything more has like a 1.5 second cooldown. With food you can parry an enemies attack if you time it right once they hit you and you can eat it instantly, sending them back like how a shield does. I think that might be a balanced solution.

Agreed, but I think the game will be more fun and competitive because of it. Vertx adds some really weird tweaks that we sometimes don't notice. Like how if you hit someone with a fishing rod and the user being hit by the rod blocking with their shield, the rod user is sent back in a similar fashion to shield blocking. If Vertx added this, he could copy the code from that mechanic, edit it and add my mechanic idea. Just saying :D

yea it can be annoying sometimes but I'll just switch to a kit with more food if I keep losing because of low food lol
I'm not great at pvp either so it's nice being able to eat fast xD

or u know... add enchanting so that way we can actually do damage to players

I feelike it should just stay the way it is. Even with the recent Incident with the pyro kit being removed. Y'all might end up making food removed from kits as a whole...

And I mean not everyone has a problem with the kits. And us making them constantly altered is causing people to join forums just to rant. And we saw how that turned out... Idk I'm pretty good with my kits and it's food as my kit was heavily nerfed and I'm chill with it.

I'd say we just need so stop nerfing (other than fisherman kit nerf that to 4 salmon and 4-3 cod plz vertx). We should still buff however due to some fun kits being really bad and unusable.
