in the video i will admit that lach's reach did look very much suspicious, but that was before i saw his cps video. his cps has an average of about 13 or 14, and that is where all of this gets slightly (actually, extremely) messy.
at 12 cps, there's a lot you can do in terms of pvp, especially if you can hit good combos (in the video proof, lach had a good combo of what i think was 5 hits, maybe 6, before he killed the reporter). one of those things is the ability to reach very - and i mean very - far. at 12 cps, the game is registering your hits, but there's a delay. the game is unable to register your hits as fast as you're tapping in the span of only 1 second. this is why players are able to reach irregular distances during pvp matches, and why it always looks like pro pvp players are using reach.
i've actually experienced this firsthand, as well. i was pvping someone, and they managed to hit me from around 8 to 10 blocks away feelsbadman :,) mind you, this wasn't just anyone, it was one of my friends, and he'd been with me for a good 10 minutes before he did that reach thing and we had pvped for a while, so i knew for certain he wasn't using hacks. yet, he could still reach me from that distance.
which makes me doubt that lach is using hacks. yes, it looks very much like hacks, and i wouldn't doubt for a second if someone did mistake what he had done as hacks, if he weren't hacking. but, i honestly am not 100% sure on this. there's a possibility that he was hacking, and there's a possibility that he wasn't.
it's all very confusing which is why i dont play pvp games ;^) but i think that it would be a plausible solution (maybe not the best solution but a solution that i think is relatively plausible) to unban lach unless anyone has something to say which can make me rethink this conclusion i've drawn.
