It should be like this
- Lets say you fight a player, and you manage on knocking them into the void. If the player has less than half of health left, it counts as a kill. If the player has more than half of health left, it counts as a assist.

Let's say you hit the player into the void even though the player only lost half a heart from you hitting them. The player instantly dies when hitting the void, so it's like the void is helping you get rid of the opponent you were fighting. I guess that's why it's an assist. It's just a simple way to get rid of an opponent without killing them sword-to-sword.
