I might do the 3rd chapter tommorow :3 Don't worry the Awesome is coming soon O^O
Thanks to @LaurenDmm300 v. 2.0 even if this time was easier xD
~~~~~
I'm going to live in another time zone! I can not believe it. Papa did not tell me that we are moving to the other side of the planet! Does he know that scientists have not yet invented a teleportation system? That I do not have access to a helicopter or a private jet, that there is no TGV line, as well as being installed on the moon. A hit! My father does not give me the choice. I am obliged to sulk.It may seem like a baby, but at the time I had not found any other way of expressing my dissatisfaction. It is strangely satisfying, even knowing how immature it is. There is a painful silence in the car, silence which I confess to maintain with a malicious pleasure. What I really disagree with my father is that 'he has no respect for the effort I make to sulk.' He starts to speak as if nothing had happened, everything and nothing. He looks for songs on the radio, suggests me to be the DJ with my phone, but ha ha! I would not have had. Actually, I forget to recharge my phone at night, and as the battery is almost empty, I'd prefer to conserve the little energy in case I receive a text message from Sam.
"I never liked to move," he admitted. "It's too crazy. When I was your age, I had a friend who moved about every two years. I do not know how he survived that! It must not be in my nature." He continues: "You'll see, it's going to be cool. You can invite Sam to come over on the weekend. It will go well."
I lean my forehead on the window of the door and look at the landscape. Landscape... I must say it quickly. It is rather restricted. The more we enter the city, the fewer there are. Around the village the roads offer us fields full of wheat. Here, they repeat, all the same, concrete everywhere, the houses become duplexes. In the distance I see buildings to housing.Everything looks so.. stuck.We arrive at our new address a few minutes later. The apartment is on the second floor. There is a narrow and dangerous staircase. Risk my life to enter in my house. It has a certain charm.
> <> <> <> <> <
Dad and I are doing a phenomenal amount of back and forth between the truck and the apartment. In the middle of the afternoon, the truck is finally empty. This is only a mental list. I made it by car. The first two points were quickly crossed out, however.
1) Make the boxes
2) Load the truck
(Point 3 was accomplished by my father) 3) Make the way to our new apartment
Now stays : 4) configuration of my new room
5) Install my workstation (my playstation)
6) Open a bag of chips
7) Unfasten the boxes
8) Begin my new life.
While I leave my cell to take a picture that would go well on Facebook, I catch a conversation. At the bottom of the balcony, the 3 mover are speaking.
"You should charge 200 more"
"You're exaggerating it too much"
"Have you seen his reaction now? $20 and it says nothing"
"OK"
Once the movers returned to the apartment, I hear Dad say;
"It was not what was agreed"
"Yes, but there was more box than expected. And the staircase-"
"What is the staircase?"
"It was not expected. "
I see my father who is ready to compensate these men. Seeing the smirk of the mover, I decide to intervene.
"I think we should get a discount."
"If it were me, I'd make you one. It's true that your daughter helped us, I can not take away $40"
"I surprised you in your truck." And I have all filmed. Imagine, a click and you become viral on Youtube. It tempts you to pass in the papers tomorrow? Your boss will surely be glad to have a nice advertisement"
-You won the little one.
"So," said my father, "there was talk of a big discount on the bill."
"Let's say, 200?"
"250$" I correct.
Trapped, the driver growls. When the door closes and I hear the truck leave, I smile.
"Did you film them?" asked my father.
"No, the battery was dead"
"You're incredible Marie!" said my father, hugging me. After resuming our minds, Dad insists that we assemble my bed. But I make him understand that there are priorities:
1: reload my cell
2: Connect the wireless router. (I emphasize the importance of these two elements. After all, it is a matter of preserving the mental health of his daughter.
The argument is sufficient. The operation takes only a few minutes. Now that my cell eat precious electricity, I can finally take care of my room and publish Some pictures on my Facebook page.
