Ever since I started on this server, I always had many questions on the food system, I understand how it works, but I’d like to know the advantages of it, and why we don’t use the traditional hunger system.

Yes but Minecraft was like this around a decade ago, where food restored health and the hunger bar didn’t exist.

Well I really like it and I think it makes sense, given that being hungry in a game would be really annoying and a whole other problem.

It does help balance the different versions on bedrock so that might be a reason.
Also the hunger system sucks so they needed something different.

but yeah maybe to be unique as other skywars servers don't use this food system

like the normal hunger system was ok unless if you don't keep an eye on your hunger you wouldn't have the ability to regen enough health when a cleaner comes by after a sweaty fight with someone cuz the food system lengthens fights while they used to be a few seconds only with the hunger system
