Fixing The windows 10 pvp problem

its called pro skillz on win 10 we all have are own ways of pvp plus im win 10 and im still beaten by pe and consol mc players
There is a difference in playstyle in the different versions. Good players on win10 dominate but bad PVP players (like me) would suck on win10. The issue is heavily exaggerated by toxic pe players I agree but in some situations win10 has a slight advantage.

Many players who play on PVP have complaints about that windows 10 has an "advantage" when it comes to PVP and meanwhile I don't think the advantage is as big as what people say, (even though I still think PVP should be more fair for all versions) I will attempt to give my own way to fixing the issue that won't cause controversy. Overall I have devised this solution to not change the overall PVP playstyle on this server.
My idea is to (This apply to all devices) have a weapon cool down after the weapon is used. The cooldown would be around the average time it takes for a mobile player can do an attack input. (I'm guessing this is about half to a third of a second) (Most people play on mobile so this makes sense) This allows for windows 10 to not be able to do the crazy combos that only their device could do. Overall this would stop autoclick as well so that's also a good thing. If you attempt to attack before the cooldown finished your weapon won't fire.
Notes: I am not trying to make this server into 1.9 (1.9 combat sucks). The cooldown is way shorter than 1.9 cooldown. (The cooldown time should be a third to half a second)
Please give constructive criticism and not hate. And hopefully the BRLNS team will consider this. :D

What do you mean? The pc players pvp are nerfed for mobile users and you want to be impossible and a miserable game to play in a computer? If you can't beat pc players do the start saying s♥♥♥

Windows10 Players don’t have more combat attack damage, it’s because they can hit you more, but then again they have a cool down. I wish poeple could accept that they have fixed it and not being able to kill them isn’t the damage systems fault.

Plz be nice. I didn't know. Now knowing I realise any sort of nerf happened. Personally I can beat pc players and thought the issue was over exaggerated by most so I just wanted to try and stop the toxicity from that by uploading a solution. :D

What you described is pretty much Java 1.9 pvp. You think that its 2-4 second delay on java, when it really is 1/3 - 1/2 a second. Like vertx says, they managed to find a sweet spot, so they decided to keep it like that.



Besides, if using a sword was like a gun (where there is a reload), people would just use 2 swords to counteract the reload, making the reload useless and maximizing the amount of damage per hit

I find it funny whenever I have to point out that Brokenlens is actually using the 1.9 combat system for Win10 players for years already.

They do have a cooldown, the faster they hit, the less damage they will do.
On top of that, on every platform, hits will only be registered by the server after half a second has passed since the previous hit. or in other words 500ms. which means 2 cps tops.

These measures have been put in place a long time ago because this Windows10 topic is really old.
And even though PE players are never happy, the PvP system on brokenlens is quite balanced as it is, we've managed to find "a sweet spot" a few years back. and we don't intend to change it so soon.

The damage a player can do to you depends a lot on which tactics they are using. independent of their platform.

I would really recommend to stay on the 1.9 pvp platform because if you switch to 1.8.9 it will be impossible for a PE player to even try to play the game , the 1.8.9 hits are dedicated whit a lot of knockback , and if u jitter click the W10 player will a huge hit combo that even the PE players will accuse them of Hacking :wth:

That explains a lot. When I pvp with a pe player, that player deals the same amount of damage as me with a stone axe, while I have a iron sword. That's because I am always clicking so fast, but when I stop for a second, my damage magically shoots up. Thank you vertx for explaining the combat system for win 10 :)
