The Best Builder is by far my favorite minigame on broken lens. However the voting is quite unfair with people voting terrible on everything to try to have an edge. Here are some ideas to make this game more fair:
1. Limited bad and terrible votes: You should have a limit on the amount of bads and terribles a player could vote per game. This will force players to vote fairly on builds. I DO believe as well there should be a limit on the amount of awesome a player could vote with per game, because despite it being nice to vote awesome on every build, it eliminates the point of that score.
2. Ban people who vote unfairly: Have a system that bans players who vote bad or terrible on every build in the game. If players cheat after these bans and abuse the system by voting one build ok or more and the rest bad or terrible. Look for consistent voting patterns like that among players, and ban them.
3. Boost people who vote fair: The biggest reason people vote unfairly on the best builder is to boost their own score. A way to counter this is if players could vote okay or higher on builds consecutively over time and players could gain points. It wouldn't be too much though or else it could be exploitable. As well the points wouldn't be more the higher the rating. This should (if implimented) make people vote fairly more often, but not too high. I'm not going to give a good ratio of votes to points saying I don't know the point system as well as the build battle team. So if the broken lens team doesn't want to bring people who vote bad on others builds to the ground, maybe we could bring fair voters up. I think this is the best idea myself which will lead to fair votes and a true "best builder" winning the game.
Hopefully you will consider this. :D

Well theres not rlly a way to fix the voting system.Everyone has their own opionion and different standards on whats good or bad and u cant take this away from them neither force them to vote something else.Banning ppl for unfair voting is a rlly bad idea and it should not even be considerable.Yes its annoying but that how it is.

I don't personally like the banning idea, because yes, everyone has their own opinion. However... with playing TBB and TBBS, there are consequences with both. I've seen unprofessional builds win (I'm sorry, that's the word I'm using though), which is frustrating because a different player has a great build but gets terrible votes for some reason. Sadly, that's a consequence of playing both TBB games. Personally, I just don't vote, because I don't want to be mean even though it lowers the player's score. Maybe I'll just vote OK next time.

What about idea 1 with the limited votes???

Neither ideas work. What if all the builds are bad, either you would have to make false good votes or get falsely banned depending on the option.

You could just not vote though

By not voting I mean that if you can't vote bad then you could just not vote if it is a bad creation.

Idea one is actually a pretty good idea... If a balanced number could be figured out. ;)

The second one is kind of iffy. False bans would happen a lot, especially to critical players. (By which I mean, players that give low votes because they actually dislike the build quality).

And the third is good on the surface, but if you think about it, it would cause players to vote falsely, which could cause them to win unfairly or the player they were voting 'over positively' for. Basically causing the voting system to become imbalanced.

With the third one though, voting ok 3 times and awesome 3 times for example would result in the same point amount given. Plus the player you are voting for receives way more points then what you get for voting.

Okay, so in my own honest opinion I still don’t think that this would stop *those types of players* from voting unfairly. I feel that it may favor mediocre builds because if you think about it that way I am rn:

Idea 1- kids might use their limited amounts of terrible on the actually good ones, and use their limited amounts of awesome on whatever they’d favor. THEN they give OK or GOOD to the mediocre ones, which may also be given an OK or GOOD by those who DO vote fairly. And then those “actually good” and “actually bad” builds will just both go down.

idea 2- there is always a posiblity that all the builds are just THAT terrible and people may get wrongfully banned. Now, you can say that they can get appeals, BUT there already are a TON of reports being filed and doing so will only put much more pressure on the MODS/Admins/OPs who review the ban appeals. This will also increase wait time for the people appealing bans.

Idea 3- again with *possibly* favoring some mediocre builds if they get OK’s and GOOD’s, in addition to the points that they got for voting “fairly”. There will always still be the people who DONT vote fairly against the actually good builds, so obviously, they might not get as high of a score as those who have the mediocre builds.

Anyways, I’m sure that there will be a solution to this in the future. For now, I do hope that asking people to vote fairly does work in your experience of the game, but kids will be kids.

True but I do think idea 1 and 3 will make the game more fair. As well kids aren't insanely smart. Many won't bypass the system in the way you said they would. They'll just live with it.
