Apparently according to someone, fishing rods are bannable.
Why tho?

I mean I’m pretty ticked because they are really fun to use, so I don’t see what is the problem with it.

If you ask me, buster in SW should be bannable lol. Most people with buster have 3 steaks, one gapple, and possibly more. That is 169% more OP, than the flimsy fishing rod that doesn’t even work half the time and will just go through the person.

EDIT: Ok, I read some earlier threads, and the fishing rod I think has been fixed. It only kicks you when you fling someone like 20 blocks, which never happens. Usually you fling them into the void instead of kicking them. When I use fishing rods, it doesn’t kick anyone at all, so I actually think it has been fixed and shouldn’t be bannable.

The only way it kicks someone is if you ready knocked someone off and then they go flying up, but that really is harmless (since pearl clutches don’t even work anymore).

I'd rather keep the fixed fishing rods (to where it takes more blocks to get someone accidentally kicked), because I always did this trick where I'd pull them up and hit them 1-2 times to their death, quite an interesting way to win (not that I use them *a lot now* anyways,) [sorry, Grammar mistake]

Yeah but fishing rods aren’t that op anymore. You have to be out in the open. It’s basically a low range bow, which means it can be easily combated by with walls. Also it doesn’t fit into holes, if it hits a wall it doesn’t work, and it is incredibly rare to get (except rustic).

I mean I get your point but I'd rather have a crаppy fishing rod rather to have a god fishing rod that can be used to kick players and such.However, I get your point of view :з

Maybe Buster should be nerfed? But i dont see the problem why fishing rods should be bannable, I mean they are op but to get them you do have to build it yourself, wich is possible in like 3 maps.

If it’s bannable, why the hell would be it craftable? ;-;

Also, I noticed fly hackers only get kicked when they fly up 5-10 blocks. This might be the same with the fishing rod, if you pull someone upwards quickly and high enough, you might kick them.
