Fall damage problem

The problem is when i make big distance falling i do not take fall damage when I’m suppose to, tho i am not hacking or glitching, it been happening since a while and i wanted to know if it was normal when i normally see others taking fall damage. Its bothering me a lot because i wouldn’t want to be ban unfairly for a glitch.
[I’ll give a video of it when i will have time to do, but right now i have homework to do (yes)]

yeah, i know... it's happen sometimes because years ago it was a normal thing but now they fixed it, well.. they tried.

Don't worry, you won't be banned for not taking fall damage. It happens to me as well and I suppose not taking fall damage is something new. I'm sure every player who doesn't take fall damage is aware of this.

It’s programmed so that you won’t take fall damage if you jump/fall from a height around 20+ blocks high (this has been here for like 2-3 years, dw about it)
I never tested the actual height where you begin taking fall damage, but an estimate is that if you’re on top of the ladder in the towers map and you jump down to the bottom without any block placing, ladder clutching, etc., you do take fall damage from that distance
