People using you for something or just abandoning you when you need them.

I’ve had so many encounters with fake friends (some like a week or two ago) and now honestly I’m only surprised by true friends

This one basically got close to me only to keep an eye on me (because she thought I was tryna steal her boyfriend, like no) and once I found out she cut ties with me entirely

For me, fake friends are commonly known as people who doesnt even talk to you but still called he/she as your "friend." If you just say hi to each other and not really interact or have a closer friendship I dont they are true friends.

I have encountered alot. Mostly in real life which brought me active here when I left. In real life, ive been friends with this kid when I was 6 then ever since he started playing that fortnite game, he chsnged alot. He kept bullying me and even others. Eventually even got dirty minded. I knew I would get influenced so I stopped talking to me. Though he kept saying that were friends but in reality, WE ARE NOT. I never told him we weren't friends so partially my fault... And now school is coming, definetely not my friend after calling me gay when my sister hackedmy social media and told him i loved him.sksksks

Also had this friend ever since I was 4. And again fortnite changed his life. He started acting like a big bully. He was also influenced by the friend up there. ^ He didnt do his homework and kept lying. I hated the most of his lying. Called me gay aswell after what my sister did.

There you have it. No friends in school. Yay.

There are mainly two types of fake friends:

1.) The one who fakes their personality
2.) The one who does something offensive/wrong thing to you/friends/family, etc

In my opinion, a fake friend is someone who is pretending to be your friend or someone who does something completely offensive after earning your trust. [My opinion] Friends that don’t talk to you are more like acquaintances, not fake friends. Friends who change overtime to something you can’t recognize become ex-friends; not really fake because they changed instead of pretending.

I’ve had many experiences with different types of fake friends, but this isn’t story time so ..

Basically like everyone else who would describe a “fake friend” is how I would describe one as well.

I have many experiences, but the most recent fake friend incident was when I got myself hacked (go to my earliest threads for more info on that). But, mostly my fault I stupidly told my pass to some dude who I just met that fricking day and lied to me by not telling me he uses hacks and bypasses and hacks into several accounts. Basically after this I lost my ability to easily trust someone, sometimes nearly impossible to gain my full trust.

I agree with Withy about the whole definitions thing.

I did have a group of friends with one girl I used to adore but when this boy joined our class, he kinda influenced them. And he didn’t like me. So, they started laughing at me and things I said, they laughed at things he said about me and they made up rumours about me doing inappropriate stuff with a guy from my class. It honestly scarred me for ages but I’m okay now ^-^ Besides...

...Other than that, I’ve never really had fake friends because I believe I’m careful about who I let near me now, thanks to that experience :) I observe people’s personalities and behaviours and tell them little secrets to begin with if I feel I can trust them. If they tell little secrets, then I know I can’t trust them with big ones ^w^

What’s your definition of “Fake friend(s)” and did you have any experiences with any that you can remember?
Well, fake friends are people who just use you for something. Like me, I got used by my classmate last year, still recovering from this problem... It has been 4 months :,<

When they rather hang out with someone else than you. Same thing when they are making plans without you and lying that they aren’t but you can still see all of them together on the sc map : (( that hurts, alot.

Umm the fake friends i’ve had have been really toxic too but I was to blind to see it until the friendship ended.

I was also always there for them but they were never there for me when I needed them at the most.

And even tho the friendship ended we still had some really funny moments together, lowkey miss those moments ngl : (

I define fake friends as people who act close to you but use you and or speak trash about you.

I had a friend group of 3 and me and the other friend, let’s call her ally, we went to Germany for 2 weeks on a school trip. She was getting angry about everything and blamed it on the heat, I tried to make it better and she yelled at me. We came back to school me, ally and.... let’s call the 3rd fran. Ally started saying to fran that I’m annoying and ruined her trip.

Me and fran had a sleepover and I saw the messages. That’s how I know. Turns out fran was saying that I’m her friend and ally should stick by me. When fran left i confronted ally online and she was playing the victim, saying I had no proof. I asked fran for the messages and we haven’t spoken in over a year.

Moral - ally’s a b****

all the definition above are pretty good.

did you have any experiences with any that you can remember?
I indeed have. I got betrayed really badly by one of my ex best-friend & a couple of other friends. I don't have any regrets, instead I learnt a lot from being their friends. My past has taught me that I needed to stop giving so many second-chances to people who constantly hurt you deep inside.
