Vertx: W-what team?
Warrior: Woah, is she really the one? She barely even knows where she is
Lucas: C’mon guys, just giver her some time. Maybe Maddie can explain why oh fellow newcomer is here.
Maddie: Hmmm, mk.
N-new team? I was frozen and confused about what in the world I was doing right now. These were some strangers on the internet that somehow friended me even before I made my Facebook profile which if you ask me, is really strange. I decided to log out of my account for the day, shut the app down and headed towards my desk to do the homework that I had for the four classes I was assigned for the day.
The night was already young as the lights from downstairs were already off which meant that my parents went to bed. I clicked the switch on the back of my desk lamp, said the piles of homework I had due tomorrow and got straight to work. I went for the easier target which was science and thought that I could finish science in less than 30 minutes. To my correction, I was right. I finished in less than 30 minutes which gives me a few extra minutes in spending time on the new app I discovered.
My alarmed read 10:50 P.m with those red color on it. “Eh, a 10 minutes break can’t hurt.” So, I laid my hard math book on my desk, jumped straight into my bed and cracked open the app to see if anything new happened while I was gone. I had only one message and that was from Gracie. It read, “You and Gracie are now friends.” So, I think what that meant was that she accepted my friend request but other than that, nothing else was new besides that 99+ messages I had from the group chat I was in.
I opened the group chat where all 3 of their profiles said, “Last seen 3 hours ago.” So then, I was like “Heck, why not leave a little message.” So I left a message saying:
Vertx: Hi
and left my phone on my bedroom counter. The clocked red 11:02 P.M which meant that I was already wasting time on not doing my homework for tomorrow.

I banged my head on the counter lamp as birds chirped from outside my window. I was shocked to see my alarm saying 6:11 A.M in yellow colors. I was so tired of doing math homework last night that I fell asleep for the 51st time this year. There was no time for me to take a quick nap right now so what I could've done best at the moment is finish the few extra problems on my math book and tell my social studies teacher that my homework papers got wet and I couldn't find a spare copy of it. I finished up the 31 questions of my math homework which was, “What is the difference of an acute angle and an obtuse angle?” I packed up my book into my pack back, turned off the lamp that was burning hot from being on all night, cleaned myself up from the mess last night, hit the snooze button and headed off into the bathroom.
I clicked open the door where my mom was going down the stairs at the very moment. Unfortunately for me, she spotted me heading off my room early in the morning which got her thinking on why on earth I was waking up early in the morning. "Vertx? What are you doing up early in the morning? You're not supposed to be awake for another 40 minutes." I didn't know how to tell her that I stayed up doing homework cause if she finds out, I would be in massive trouble for doing so. "Oh uh, well you see, a little bird flew into my room and woke me up."
Great. What a lame excuse. "Oh, so you were not doing homework late at night then?" Having a smirk on her face. Well, at this point, there was no way I could lie to her when she knew the truth. I looked up to her with a frown on my face and said, "Sorry mom." She probably won't take my apology since I always do this every once a week. "Just go. Candle should be in a few seconds so I recommend that you get dressed while you're awake." I was surprised to see my mom letting me go like this. But this leads me to the conclusion of a warning I suppose; telling me that I should probably stop doing this from now on.
I got myself ready for school when I heard a little bell ring on my phone. I looked at the message and it was a message from Facebook. Next to the logo, there was some text from the group chat I was in. Right when I was getting out of the bathroom and crack opening the Facebook app, Candle and Ender were already waiting for me on the couch, playing some Smash on their Nintendo while they wanted for me. "Oh, hey guys. Nice to see you guys come early."
They both completely ignored me while one of them started to cheer and yell on that they won the game and the other person lost. "You just got lucky, that's all." Candle angrily expressed himself towards Ender. "Its called skills which are something you don't have sadly." This is where I jump into the argument cause if I don't do something about it, they will start a war which if that would to happen, their yelling would wake up my sister up for sure.
"Alright guys, let's not be so toxic on each other." From that point, nobody said a word which I was glad cause I couldn't stand another minute with these fouls.
Facebook opened up and somehow led me straight to the group chat where all the group members were active at the moment. I started to read some of the messages that were being sent at the very moment I was reading the texts.
Warrior: But where?
Maddie: Idk! It's not up to me! It's Lucas decision. I'm not the party leader.
Lucas: Why does it always have to be me?
Warrior: Well, you did the chat or no?
Lucas: -_-
Vertx: Um, hey?
Maddie: Well, hey.
Maddie: Lucas, tell him!
Lucas: Well, Vertx, we were wondering if you wanted to meet up somewhere where all of us can meet up.
Vertx logged out.
Warrior: Drats. We'll get him the minute he comes online again.
I froze, my brain getting hot at the moment. Now they wanted to meet up when I barely knew these people. What in the world! I didn't realize what I was doing until Candle went up to me and asked if I was ok. I said I was fine and left from there.
I rubbed my eyes where I saw complex walking up the walkway of the village I was in. I rushed outside to see if he had any idea of this Facebook thing. "Hey, Complex!" I shouted from the doorway. He seemed to notice me and started walking in my direction.
"Hey, what's up Vertx?" He looked straight at my eyes. "Hey. I was wondering, from the new Facebook app, have you gotten any sort of weird message lately?" From behind him, I heard a horn honked which meant that that was probably his parents. "Um...not that I think of it. Anyway, I got to go! Talk to you later!" And like that, he left my hands on the front door with my phone out in the open.
I saw him getting into the car and leaving the parking area of their front door. It was really upsetting when you had nobody to talk to besides some people that don't know logic. I headed back up my room since I had a few seconds before the bus came to my house to pick me and the others up. I was heading up the stairs when I heard a text message coming in.
I opened my phone to see what it was and I was shocked to see what the message said.
Warrior: I see you
