“There seem to be more than 4 people here. How is that possible?”

“Mom, where’s my uniform for school?” I yelled to my mom which was down in the kitchen. It’s amazing how one day your uniform is laying on top of the birdhouse and the next day, it’s gone. Poof, like that! The cold wind going through my window while I was getting dressed was one of the things I hate about the morning school days. Like listen government, if you’re going to make school a 5-day streak with only 2 days of break per week, you might as well call school college, cause that’s where it’s heading towards.
I headed downstairs to complain to my mom on where was my uniform like every single day. Like I don't get it, I wish my life was way different than this crap*y old life. “In my room where I charge my phone every night.” Ya thanks, could’ve told me that when I was still upstairs. “Thanks, Mom.” My mom was always trying her best to get me the best education a kid could ever have but I felt sorry for her at the same time cause I wasn't really putting my part into leaning.
I entered her room with the smell of rotten cheese going through the air. I imminently saw my clothes laying on the counter where my mom charges her phone every night or so. I swoop to grab my clothes from the counter and rushed out faster than a mouse getting found under a cup of glass.

The bus came from the corner which meant that I had to sit through 15 minutes of a few teenagers pop their loud rock music from their speakers from the back of the bus. “Hey nerd, what ‘chu bring for lunch today?” One of the kids pecking his head out of the bus told me. “Oh, the usual,” I responded back. The bus driver opened the door for me and the rest of the people that were at my bus stop. I sat where I usually sit every single day for school, which was in the front.
I decided to crack open google news and see if anything was hot in the sections. Nothing really interesting seem to catch my eyes until I saw a post that really caught my eyes. There was an article which the title read in bold letters, “Watch out 4chan cause a new social media is about to head your way on dethroning your spot as #1.” This was real news I wanted to hear about. The bus stopped hard as I banged my head onto the seat in front of me. Someone in the back shouted, “Watch it, lady!”
She pulled in some few more kids from a different bus stop which is where one of my best friends Gracious was. She sat next to me as she said, “Hello Vertx, how are you doing on this beautiful day?” I told her that it was a nice day outside and continued to read the article while she texted some of her other friends she had. Below the article I was currently reading, there was a logo of the new social media. It had an F in the middle of the square shape that was surrounding it.
So then I was like, “Eh, why not give it a try.” I started to download the app from the play store which is where a little bar appears below the app and said, “12.3MB/139.2MB” I guess that meant that the app was downloading. I waited a few minutes for the app to download as the bus driver picked up everyone else that went onto our bus. By the time the app downloaded, the school bus ride at school which meant that I won’t be having time to get to know this new app on the article.
Lunch came by pretty quickly. To my surprise, the minute I stepped in into the lunchroom, 100% of the school lunch were on their phones. Now, like a private school, only about 20 to 30 percent of kids would be on their phones but this is just a whole new level. “What is everyone doing on their phones?” I asked one of my friends who were Gracie. “Oh, that. They’re all adding their friends on this new app that just came out called Facebook.” Facebook she said? So that’s what the app is called. “Do you have it Vertx?” “Well, actually, I do.”
She pulled out her phone, told me her username and left to her friends' table. I was surprised that this app was blowing up like fireworks. The article was right, this app will dethrone 4chan in less than a week.

After school, I headed straight to my room, cracked open the app where I got to this screen where it said, “Login or Create An Account” on top of it, there were 2 boxes where the first box said “username,” and the second box said “password.” But all the way on the bottom of the app, there was a blue box which said, “Create An Account.” So since I didn’t have an account at the moment, I decided to create one.
A few minutes of creating my new account, a little flower appeared on my screen welcoming me to Facebook. I pushed the next button where it said if I wanted to find friends. So since I had Gracie's username on my hand, why not search her up. After I did, a photo of her popped up with something writing under her photo which said “Bio.” There was one button next to her name which said: “Add Friend.” I pushed the button where a little mini white box appears saying, “A request has been sent.”
I decided to go to the next step of Facebook. The next step told me to add a photo of myself. So I selected a photo of me being on the beach with my family. Finally, it asked me to add a bio to my page. So, I added “Someone,” cause I didn’t have anything original to say.
So after all that, I was finally on the front page of Facebook. A few minutes past and I saw a mini gray letter with a red circle that had a number 3 on it. I clicked it where I had 3 friend request incoming. There were 2 boxes next to them. One said “accept,” and the other one said “Deny.” I was like “Eh, why not.” So I clicked the top button of the inbox that said, “Accept all.”
I was quickly surprised and unnoticed that I was put into a text group from all the 3 friends I accepted. In the text group, I was reading some of the texts that they were typing at the moment.
Warrior: So, she’s the new one?
Maddie: Indeed she is (⌒∇⌒)
Lucas: Should we tell her?
Warrior: Well, she’s looking at this chat right now. Might as well.
Vertx is typing...
Vertx: So, what’s this all about.
Maddie, oh… nothing (〃ー〃)
Lucas: Warrior, tell him.
