It was early in the morning with my alarm clock next to me marking "7:01 A.m." with those red numbers on it. I flopped on my bed, knowing that I should be sleeping more since it was Saturday but somehow, I couldn't sleep anymore. I picked up my phone from the cabinet next to my alarm clock to see 2 unread messages from Instagrams from my two friends, Cap and Jazzy.
In the mood where your breath smells like a dead rat and your body is sweating, well, basically, you're forced to get up from bed even though it's the weekend. I left my phone on the top of the cabinet as I made my way across the hallway where the bathroom is. The cold floor touching my feet felt like I was walking on a giant ice cube in the midst' of Antarctica.
I slowly open the bathroom door in front of me, headed for the sink, grabbed my blue striped toothbrush and squeezed out a little bit of toothpaste and started to brush up.
A few seconds later after brushing my mouth that smelled like a dead rat, I tiptoed downstairs to see what I could be doing while my family still slept in. I made my way downstairs to a shock of my dog surprising me out of nowhere. My cute dog always scares me every morning no matter where I am in the house; he will always be there for me.
I headed for the kitchen, my feet freezing on the cold floor since I was too lazy to look for any socks in my cabinet upstairs. My eyes burn once I saw the sun shining through the windows above the sink. It wasn't worth eating anything at this point since my dog kept on getting on me and I could drop a metal plate if my dog jumps onto me.
I gently put back the metal plate on the middle cabinet with some dust coming out of nowhere in the corner of it. I closed the wooden doors on the cabinets with something loud coming out of my house as I did so. I rushed towards the living room as my poodle did the same.
I opened the living room curtains, giving my eyes a burn once the sun hit me once again. I covered the sun to get a much clearer view of what was going on outside of my house. It took me a few seconds to get a perfect view from my distance but once I did, I saw a white truck with many ads of their company asking to rent their moving truck on it. Getting to the most important part, I saw a new family moving right next to us.
Since I couldn't get a perfect view since the sun was right in my way, I rushed upstairs, leaving my poor poodle behind since he wasn't allowed to go upstairs by the order of my mom's rules. Anyway, I slipped into my room, opened the window wide open, letting the wind blow through my room, knocking some of my school's homework off the shelf next to my bed. I mean hey, at least it's better than having full heat heating up your face in front of you.
I poked half of my head through my window and my oh my, it was like a 4k screen view than the one downstairs which felt like a 480k screen view. Going back to the moving fan, the moving van has its state on the left corner saying California. Now, if you didn't know already, this is Florida. So for them to rent a moving van from California to Florida must've been expensive for them.
Going to the front door of their new house, I saw a boy that looked like he was in his 15's and a young girl with a ponytail at the age of 14. I tried to get a close up of the boy name with my spying glasses but he kept on moving too much to read his name off of his orange hat he was wearing. The girl, on the other hand, a clear view of her name on her hat since she wasn't really moving that much, unlike her brother or cousin.
Her name seemed to be called "Wolfie" with a little swirly ( ~ ) symbol at the end.
I pulled my head back into my room, opened the blue diary I had all the way in the back of my cabinets, still ignoring the text messages I had on my phone, grabbed a pencil from the glass bottle next to the next in my room, opened to a new clean page on my diary and started to write down:
Dear Diary #1/7
"Today marks a new fresh day to make a new friend or two that will probably be going to our school on Monday. I just woke up from a nice sleep from Friday's school day. I wanted to sleep a little bit more than I usually sleep on the weekend but due to my mouth smelling like a dead rat, I couldn't sleep anymore from the stink that was coming out of my mouth.
Anyway as I was saying, a new person as moved in next to us and personal I think that we can be great friends if I take that chance that is. My parents were still sleeping late as well as my sister. I still had 2 unread texts from my friends in real life that I haven't answer yet. So that might be something I could be doing instead of writing in my diary right now but to be honest, I would rather be writing right now than texting my friends until around 11 at night.
Anyway, I think I have said enough for today's diary. Until I write again."
- 2/12/17
I closed up my blue diary I was holding, shoved it under my school clothes in my cabinet, jumped back into my warm bed and fell back asleep until my sister started to scream like an old lady, yelling about something in her dream.
